1. Experimenting Flipping the Papers

I thought that flipping the paper produces the characteristic sound that we are all know that it comes from interaction with paper.

Movements may be felt and observed, movement as emergence, what comes of these moments and what is produced (Pacini-Ketchabaw, et al., 2016).

3. Flapping the Premium Tissue Paper

I tried to flapped the different type of paper, which is the blue premium tissue paper or famously known by Kraft paper. I surprised with the different sounds it produced. As Pacini-Ketchabaw, et al. 2016 stated that "we learn to move with the materials and attend to the ways we are moved in response. We learn that learning itself is movement."

4. The sounds of premium tissue paper / kraft paper being squeezed

I wondered about the difference of copy paper and Kraft paper in terms of the sounds produced as I play with it. This was the sounds produced by the Kraft paper or premium tissue paper when I squeezed as I encounter with it.

5. Experimenting Squeezing Kraft Paper

Following up the previous story, this was the sound produced when I squeeze the Kraft paper, followed by the change of the paper surface as I made the movement towards the paper.

6. The Sound of the Copy Paper being Squeezed

After experimented kraft paper being squeezed, I tried to do the same movement for 100gsm copy paper. Surprisingly, I found out that the sound was slightly different. the copy paper produced lighter sound while the Kraft paper produced more noise when I squeezed it.

2. The Sound of 100gsm Copy Paper being Flipped and Flapped

As I experimenting to interact with the paper, I found out that the sounds it produced is very unique and has it own character as the material itself.

7. Squeezing the Copy Paper and Drop it from Above

I felt that squeezing copy paper demands more efforts than squeezing the kraft paper as the materials are different in terms of the dimension. 100gsm copy paper are thicker and heavier while the kraft paper are lighter and thinner. it surprised me when I throw the paper ball from above and it bounce. It seems like the material told me that it can afford to do that, as a ball, to play with, and to engage with (Sellen & Harper, 2002).

10. Experiment of Blowing Paper

I felt that paper make movement as it interact with other materials, in this instance, air. As I blew the paper, it flew away and scattered around everywhere. This movement happened as an effect of interaction with air pressure I made. These movements may be subtle, yet working with paper means one moves with the material in continuous motion, joining forces with it (Ingold in Pacini-Ketchabaw, et al. 2016).

8. Undone the Squeezed Paper

I wondered how it will be if I undone the movement I did to the paper. As movement with paper is both rhythm and repetition, the doing and undoing, filling, emptying, sweeping, covering, uncovering (Pacini-Ketchabaw, et al. 2016).

9. The Squeezed Paper that has been Undone

I learnt that we can always undone the movement we did to the materials. However, it will sometimes left a remark on the materials.

11. Experimenting Rolling the Paper

I felt that rolling is a comfort way to do with materials such as paper. It can turned paper into something useful in million ways, such as pipes, cylindrical, cigar, and many ways to found out.

12. Folding the Paper

I tried the other common way to interact with paper, which is fold it. Noticing material's movements and ways generated a great deal of expectancy, not just in children’s creativity and innovativeness, but in the play of the material, in the spaces between, and in everyone’s anticipation of what might emerge (Pacini-Ketchabaw, et al. 2016).

13. Squeezing the Cellophane Paper

I found out that the different type of the same materials have different durability and affordance. Cellophane paper is water-resistant and cannot be torn unless with scissors.

14. Put Water on the Paper

I experimented the interaction between paper with other natural element, such as water. As the water drips onto the paper, it made it wet and softer.

15. The Effect of Paper Encounter with Water

As the paper interact with the water, the paper become softer and thinner and it easily torn up and made a hole when i put my finger on it.

Beside natural material like water, I tried to encounter paper with unnatural material, like glue. As the affordance of glue is made for make things sticky together, paper will easily reunited using glue.

I surprised to learn that paper will follow my movement as I put it onto my body as an arm shield.

18. The Sound of Paper being Cut by the Scissor

As paper moves through time and with the world, it encounters other material, such as scissor. This encounter will affect that the paper being separated one another as scissor cut it off.

Paper became caught up in the movements of the world, the movements of the air, the currents of the lifeworld (Pacini-Ketchabaw, et al. 2016). As I torn the paper, it witness its capacity to gather with the world's movement.

Paper is a flexible material that can follow our movement. On this case, I tried to tie it and it turned out tied nicely and well tidy, as we can use for our daily activity or needs.

22. Paper Artwork Final Showcase

This is my final showcase or exhibition of my outcome of the interaction with paper. What surprised me most was that after I learned to follow its movements, paper wove itself into our lifeworlds. And when this happened, I was encouraged to dream with paper, or, as Ingold says, to see things in the way paper lives in the world (Ingold in Pacini-Ketchabae, et al. 2016). I imagined that this was a park full of natural components, such as trees, benches, plants, flowers, bushes, playgrounds, and ect.
