My newest and most challenging hobby is learning the techniques of preserving animals who have naturally died. The pic below shows the process of Chemically Mummifying an adult Barn Owl who was found by my sister while driving. It had been recently been hit by a car with its body undamaged. I found that mixing equal parts of Salt and Borax will dry out and mummify the animal. I cannot wait to see this beautiful Owl in a few weeks after I mount him in a glass shadow box.]]> 2021-04-21 04:48:10 UTC https://padlet.com/noracaroline06/t3szfqb2h5mrf52/wish/1441032469 noracaroline06 https://padlet.com/noracaroline06/t3szfqb2h5mrf52/wish/1441063792 While caring for my many animals at home, I noticed that their beauty and worth should not be thrown away.  As I learn more and more about Taxidermy, Wet Specimens, Mummification and also pinning of insets, I have found that I can work for hours on my specimens and love what I am doing for the preservation of such beautiful creatures.

I do want to go to college for some sort of Animal Science Degree to help me better understand Taxidermy.  I have found that I can start taking Taxidermy classes on-line before I graduate High School School.  I am very excited to see what my future holds.

Setting an example of how you should deal with people that will put you down and hate you for your beliefs or lifestyle. I was in charge of an autistic boy named Will. He could be a real handful tho, he love watches and would run up to strangers in museums and play with them. He was only a few years younger than me, and he never spoke in full sentences. But Will was so smart he spoke in french that he picked up from his dad. I eventually learned Wills personality and made it easy to keep him from running everywhere we went. I was a learning experience and I seemed to be the only one that could handle him. I had even saved him from drowning once! I did attend a virtual concert in october thanks to my dad, for winning a ticket but its not the same. Billie is one of my favorite singers and I look up to her in so many ways. She is so important to me even tho I've never meet her before. She uses her platform to spread awareness about so many world problems and talking a lot about the importance of mental health. She also has such a unique and beautiful fashion sense. She 100% had a big role in fashion to this day. Billie also has such a big vocal range.
