I learned different things about what growing up in Italy was like and how different it is compared to the American Culture. I learned the importance of family from Nick and how important time is spent with them. After the interview it made me think about how many different people from different cultures are in the U.S. Every patient I take care of has a different back story of where they came from and the culture they practice. I realized the importance of asking about a patient's religious and cultural beliefs and taking the time to get to know your patient and their story.
