The Harappans were similar to the other civilizations because they were farmers, wrote in picture type letters, and they were situated on a river. However they were different because they were peaceful, equal, and had no government. I think that the Harappans disappeared when the Aryans invaded because they were peaceful and had no military evidence so it seems plausible that the invaders found that they could be easily invaded and decided to do so.

The harrapans were very different from other ancient civilizations because they did not have a government or wars or any sort of distress. The mountains, deserts, river, etc. However they were also very different to the other civilizations in their religion. They didn't seem to really have a religion but they were very peaceful. They seemed to value peace and time well spent with others rather than fretting over fighting for land or worrying about getting to the afterlife. They also didn't have an army, which is very remarkable because you would expect them to constantly worry about others civilizations trying to take over. We also aren't sure about there form of government. They would obviously have to have some type of structured law but nothing as crazy as the Egyptians. How they managed to survive, I have no clue.

The Indus River Valley Civilization was a beauty to behold. Clean lines, sanitary streets, a peaceful prosperous people--we yearn for that today, in a future with technology at out fingertips, yet we are unable to achieve it, and this community from thousands of years ago managed it. This is a part of why the Indus Valley was so special, so unique. Compared to other groups of people, they were practical and equal. No extravagant burials, devout lives of prayer, nor corrupt politicians. They were smart people in their most basic form. Of course, religion and government were certainly topics there, like the other civilizations, but there was no wild extravaganza concerning those. They knew what they needed to survive and carried out their human duty.

Also, there was no real sign of Religion considering there was no landmark of any Religion they believed in. They didn't have a lot of big buildings as you can see in the video. They also had no government of any sort. They were also all peaceful and had bathrooms amazingly. No army was mentioned and the society seemed clean overall. All of the cultures eventually figured out that they need a water source, somewhere to store it, to plant crops, build shelters, have some sorta of government other than the Indus river valley. but the Indus river valley is a lot different, they didn't have a government, or a religion, we don't really now anything about them. We don't have much evidence about anything that they had, but with the other cultures we have proof, and shows us with the Rosetta Stone in writing to helps us figure that out. I don't really now what caused them to disappear, like we mentioned in class it could have been taken over by an army or honestly anyone, or maybe a natural disaster, a drought who knows.

The Indus River Valley is different from other civilizations because they were peaceful and not violent. They were not involved in wars or fighting. They did not bury their dead with treasures. Instead they used them for the living. They had sewage systems throughout the cities. Each house had nice bathrooms. The cities were very hygienic. This civilization may have disappeared because of an earthquake that caused them to die. The flooding could have weakened the city causing them to slowly fall apart. The Aryans could have killed them. The civilization could have moved to a different location.

Well the Harappans are VERY different mostly because from what we know they didn't rely on gods or afterlife as the base on their government. Did they even have a government? We don't know. They were mostly different based on how they functioned. They thought in more practical ways by building everything to help them survive. The way they built their buildings was to help them survive monsoons. They were built similar to modern beach houses. We've seen from the other three civilizations that they mostly live to 'please what they believe in'. The Harappans also seemed like germaphobes(I can't spell) because of the 700 sewers they had, plus bathrooms.
