During the ninth week of my practicum, I observed a significant lack of attention span and disruptive behaviour in both the 4 Kreatif and 4 Proaktif classes. Many pupils struggled to stay focused during lessons, often talking among themselves, wandering off task, and occasionally exhibiting disruptive behaviour that affected their peers' learning experiences.

At first, I felt frustrated as I was unable to maintain the students' focus, which disrupted the flow of lessons. It was challenging to keep them engaged, and the disruptions impacted the overall classroom environment. However, I was also determined to find solutions and improve the situation. I felt that by trying new strategies, I could regain control and foster a more focused atmosphere.

Engaging Activities: Hands-on activities such as group discussions and mini-games successfully captured the students' attention and encouraged participation. These activities helped in reducing the distractions, particularly during interactive moments.

Clear Expectations: Setting clear behaviour expectations at the start of the lesson helped establish some structure and made students more aware of the importance of staying on task.

Attention Span: Despite implementing engaging activities, some students still struggled with maintaining attention throughout the lesson, especially during transitions.

Disruptive Behaviour: While the disruptions decreased slightly, there were still some students who continued to display disruptive behaviour that affected the learning environment.

To improve attention span, I will shorten lesson segments and build in more frequent transitions and breaks to help students stay focused.

I plan to continue gathering feedback from students to determine which activities they find most engaging and adapt the lessons accordingly.

A more varied reward system will be introduced to motivate different students and to reinforce positive behaviour consistently.
