Resource Allocation and Utilization:

Optimal resource allocation ensures healthcare facilities access to essential staff, equipment, and supplies, facilitating prompt and efficient care delivery. This directly links to clinical outcomes from patient satisfaction and treatment effectiveness.

Performance Monitoring and Improvement:

Monitoring performance allows clinical managers to identify areas for improvement and implement relevant interventions, thus directly impacting clinical outcomes.

The interconnection between clinical governance and clinical management are that:

A part of the clinical governance process, a quality of care policy will be created, and the clinical management will be responsible for implementing that policy.

Clinical governance has responsibility to identify the risks such as fall, medication errors, unsafe blood transfusion, unsafe injection practices, patient misidentification, etc. While clinical management will integrate risk management and apply it as a consideration during the health service delivery process.

A key responsibility of the clinical governance is to ensure that patients have access information related to their health information, treatment methods, and outcomes of their treatments. In order to achieve this goal, clinical management must involve patients in making decisions and work with them to develop effective care plans.

Similar to clinical governance, health outcomes will depend on how the system is managed. When patients have positive results and progress during treatment, this reflects that the management is on the right track and can maintain that work attitude. If patient’s health get deteriorated, clinical management also plays a part in it as it is possible that small errors such as not managing planning well with patients create problems where treatment is not consistent, effective, or not manage exactly the same as the guidlines that clinical governance creates. Therefore, observing patient outcomes before, during, and after illness will help the health system reflect what can continue to improve and what needs to be changed to be able to provide the best quality care for patients.

Each of the functions of clinical governance is designed to improve the patient’s health outcomes as much as possible as the quality of care improves. As a results of the patients’s participation in the treatment process, the patient’s treatment process will become easy and effective in a short timeframe, since the patients is the one who understands their body best. And managing to reduce obstacles, or hazards that are easy to fall-on, this will help reduce most of the injuries from falls. Accessing and caring for patients with health equity will allow patients to feel comfortable during a health check, do not hesitate to seek help from a health service and are willing to share what they feel concerned about. This will lead to the reduction of the severity of the disease and the prevention in a timely and proper way.

Applying clinical governance helps minimise risks to patients, reduce errors when handling drugs, and reduce the number of deaths to ensure patient safety. Clinical governance provides high quality care that motivates patients to cooperate in their overall health care and promote recovery. Observing performance can help identify areas for improvement and create accountability for consumers to gain trust and contribute to stronger health services. All these factors all contribute to reflecting on how clinical governance always has a space for improvement.
