Automony: Having some control to decide what and how I work

Quality of Life: avoiding work where I will work under high pressure / workloads etc

Ethics: avoiding corporations that are behaving in unethical ways (the list is quite long!)

People: working in an environment where I can have positive relationships with colleagues / public / community

Post-Doc: Great option, difficult to achieve. Playing a long game and "getting by" while applying for various post-doc positions might be a good option.

Full Academic Position: An option but working conditions are poor, fear of being sacked, supression of dissent makes it unappealing.

Research Admin / Research Assistant: If the right project comes along this may be a good option. Need to keep an eye out.

Social Enterprise & Consultancy: Worth doing more research into this, in terms of funding and so on. Networking at ORFC might help to understand these options more.

Other roles: There may be other roles that emerge in NGOs, thinktanks, trade unions, etc. Too early to do this now, but there are a number of jobs identified on the board that might work.
