The mission of East Bronx Academy (EBA) is to provide high quality, standards-based academic programs for students, grades 6-12, from underserved communities and underperforming school districts, and to provide students with the skills they need to be accepted by and succeed in college. East Bronx Academy promotes high achievement in all subjects through a demanding curriculum, extensive supportive services and the use of data-driven teaching methods. EBA is committed to promoting academic accomplishment, positive character development, healthy lifestyles and leadership skills. In partnership with the Madison Square Boys and Girls club we will address the educational and physical developmental needs of all families.

It takes an entire community working together. So from the beginning,East Bronx Academy has worked collaboratively with local residents, faith-based institutions, cultural organizations, and other leaders on an array of issues affecting children in the community. Children’s development is profoundly affected by their environment. The most important parts of their environment are, of course, the family and the home. But what children face once they step outside their home also matters greatly.
