I know that two atoms make one molecule. Most atoms have three different subatomic particles inside them: protons, neutrons, and electrons. The protons and neutrons are packed together into the center of the atom (which is called the nucleus). Within an atom, there you obviously have a nucleus and have an electron could. There are many shells within an electron cloud. The amount of electrons on the outermost shell make up the valence electrons of an element or some other thingamabobber. Electrovalent bond/ionic bond: Ionic bonding is a type of chemical bonding that involves the electrostatic attractions between oppositely charged ions, and is the primary interaction occurring in ionic compounds. The ions are atoms that have gained one or more electron (known as anions, which are negatively charged) and atoms that have lost one or more electrons (known as cations which are positively charged). This transfer of electrons is known as electrovalence. In the simplest case, the cation is a metal atom and the anion is a nonmetal atom, but these ions can be of a more complex nature.

I know that life forms on Earth are carbon based. Alkali and Halogens are very reactive. Alkali are reactive metals while Halogens are reactive non-metals. Positively charged protons and neutrally charged neutrons make up the nucleus. Electrons do not circle around the nucleus but they move erratically, they have a cloud of possibility where it ranges from most likely to be there and least likely. Electrons are negatively charged subatomic particles. We classify electrons of an atom in orbitals which represent the energy level that they have. The ph scale measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance, the lower the ph value it has, the more acidic it is, the higher the ph value, the more alkaline it is. The ph scale ranges from 0 to 14. Water is a neutral substance with a ph value of 7. Ph measures the concentration of hydrogen ions in a substance. In your body there are random oxygen atoms floating around that can cause deformities in your cells. This is why antioxidants, which bind to those roaming atoms, are crucial to your body. Breathing oxygen does start to eat away at your cells, this is called cell senescence. Avogadro's number is the number of atoms in 12 grams of the isotope carbon-12. A covalent bond is one of the strongest bonds you can have between atoms in a molecule. CO2 is an element that has this type of bond.
-Anonymous

Please correct me if I am wrong:
The amount of protons and electrons in an atom are always equal. Sometimes, the atoms that combine are the same. When this happens, an element is created. Now, the number of protons/electrons in an elements atoms determine the element number the element has on the periodic table of elements. For example, hydrogen atoms has one proton and one electron, so hydrogen is element number one. If two atoms combine and happen to be different, a compound is formed. Water, for instance, is a compound because the hydrogen and oxygen atoms are not the same.

RANDOM CHEMISTRY STATEMENT OF THE DAY - THE ELEMENTS IN THE LANTHANIDE AND ACTINIDE SERIES ARE THE MOST LIKELY TO BE NAMED AFTER A PLACE OR FAMOUS SCIENTIST, OR SOMETIMES A PLANET, NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH MERCURY, WHICH IS NOT A LANTHANIDE OR ACTINIDE- (einsteinium, curium. californium, mendelevium, plutonium, or neptunium)

- the subscript in a chemical formula stands for the amount of atoms of a certain substance present
- molecules make up everything but atoms
- cells are present in things that used to be biotic or is biotic as cells are the fundamental unit of living organisms
- plastic does NOT have cells, or anything that was made out of a substance made of biotic material that has been processed to the point of being considered abiotic
- elements cannot be broken into simpler substances, they are in their purest forms
- all elements are composed of the same atoms, and therefore the same molecules within themselves
- compounds can be broken into simpler substances, because they are made up of different types of atoms and molecules within themselves
- If you see a chemical symbol or representation using alphabets for an element or compound, remember that if you see one capital letter and one lowercase you are looking at the chemical symbol for an element. If you see two capital letters, it's a compound.
- Anything element that contains carbon is organic. This is what separates chemistry into two different branches, organic and inorganic.

Atoms are what make up the entire world!! They are the building blocks of the planet. The composition of an atom is a nucleus containing protons, neutrons, and electrons. Everything contains atoms!! An atom consists of 3 subatomic particles inside it. Protons, neutrons, and electrons. Only protons and neutrons are inside the nucleus of the atom. The electrons travel in a circular motion around the "electron cloud". The electrons nearly travel 1 billion times around the electron cloud in simply one SECOND. All the elements in the Periodic Table are composed of atoms. The protons give off a positive charge, the neutrons are NEUTRAL, and the electrons give off a negative charge.
