Symptoms: First stage: sore (ulcer) on the genital area</p><p>Second stage: </p><ul><li>wollen lymph nodes
</li><li>non-specific symptoms and may include hair loss, pain in the joints or flu-like illness.</li><li>red skin rash on the soles of the feet or palms of the hands</li></ul><p>Third stage: can affect various organs, especially the brain and the heart</p><p>4. Long-term and Short-term Effects: </p><p>Short-term effects: sore (ulcer) on the genital area, wollen lymph nodes, hair loss, </p><p>Long-term effects: damage to internal organs, including the brain, nerves, eyes, heart, blood vessels, liver, bones and joints</p><p>5. Treatment: penicillin injection - anitbiotic </p><p>6. Prevention: practising masturbation<span style="font-size: 13px;"> and use of protection such as condoms</span></p>]]></description>

Type of STI (E.g.Bacteria, Viral or Parasitic): </p><p>2. Transmission: Hepatitis B can be transmitted through blood,
semen or other body fluids infected. A person can become infected with the
virus through mother to child during birth and having having unprotected sex
with an infected partner. </p><p>3. Symptoms:</p><p>-abdominal pain</p><p>-dark urine </p><p>-fever</p><p>-joint pain</p><p>-loss</p><p>4. Long-term and Short-term Effects:</p><p>Short
term is acute viral infection that shows obvious symptoms that can be fully
recovered from</p><p>Long
term is chronic viral infection that shows subtle symptoms and treatment is
focused on preventing long term liver damage. &nbsp;</p><p>5.
Treatment:</p><p>- A
liver transplant</p><p>- Antiviral medication which helps to fight the disease and slow
it down</p><p>6. Prevention: Hepatitis B vaccine, don't share needles or other
equipment, practice safe sex, cover up cuts, clean up blood spills</p></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>1. Type of STI (E.g.Bacteria, Viral or Parasitic): Parasitic</p><p><span style="font-size: 13px; color: rgb(102, 102, 102);">2. Transmission: It is transmitted through skin-to-skin contact during anal, oral and vaginal intercourse</span></p><p>3. Symptoms:</p><p>-  itching of the affected area</p><p>-  can sometimes be seen (especially stuck to the pubic hairs).</p><p>4. Long-term and Short-term Effects: No long-term effects, short term effects are itching and occasional chronic infestations. </p><p>5. Treatment: Topical creams or lotions containing permethrin, applied to the affected area.</p><p>Prevention: </p><ul><li>Machine wash and dry clothing worn and bedding used by the infested person in the hot water (at least 130°F) laundry cycle and the high heat drying cycle. Clothing and items that are not washable can be dry-cleaned OR sealed in a plastic bag and stored for 2 weeks.</li><li>Do not share clothing, bedding, and towels used by an infested person.</li><li>Do not use fumigant sprays or fogs; they are not necessary to control pubic ("crab") lice and can be toxic if inhaled or absorbed through the skin.</li></ul><ul><li>All sexual contacts of the infested person should be examined. All those who are infested should be treated.</li></ul>]]></description>

Transmission:</b></p><p>Genital herpes is spread by skin to skin contact during anal oral or vaginal intercourse. </p><p><b>3. Symptoms: </b></p><p>- flu like syptoms headaches
pains and pain in limbs.</p><p>- small blisters around the
genital area.</p><p>- small cracks in skin.</p><p>- rashes on the skin.</p><p>- pain and swelling in the
genital area.</p><p><b>4. Long-term and Short-term Effects: </b></p><p>Recurrent genital sores, psychological distress, if women have genital herpes and are expecting a baby they need to have  cesarean.</p><p>5. Treatment: </p><ul><li>salt baths</li><li>ice packs to the affected area</li><li>pain-relieving medication – such as paracetamol</li><li>antiviral medication – such as Acyclovir, Famciclovir and Valaciclovir. </li></ul><p>6. Prevention: Condoms, female condoms, lube, antiviral medication and dams (a thin piece of latex placed over the anal or vulval area during oral sex).. </p>]]></description>
