Control measures-
 
1.Regular inspection of arrangements of object.
2. Assess the risks posed by the hazards that you’ve identified – this will determine which hazards need the most urgent attention. 
3.Put measures in place to control the risks – the hierarchy of control is a useful tool to use here, e.g. eliminate work processes that could generate an explosive atmosphere, service and clean all machinery as recommended by manufacturers, switch off electricity points when the business is unattended.            
4.Monitor the hazards and review the controls – this will ensure that the controls are minimising the risks effectively.

Always use a proper ladder or stepladder when accessing high up locations.  
When using the ladder equipment, maintain three points of contact with the ladder at all times (i.e. two feet and one hand) and never over-reach as this could cause you to topple over. 
 The ladder should meet Australian standards and the load requirements of the job. An A-frame or extension ladder may be appropriate for most tasks, but a platform ladder could be safer. 
 Always set up the ladder on a flat, stable surface. Consider using ladder safety devices like leg levellers, anti-slip gutter guards and stabilisers.
