On 16 of March 2019, Unimas Accounting Society (UNIMAC) organized and event “Future Accountants: You or A.I.?”. A.I Talk by Mr Teo Khang Min (Associate Partner, Advisory Services-Risk, Ernst & Young Advisory Services Sdn Bhd). He also a Certified Accountant registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA); a fellow of CPA Australia; and certified Information System Auditor with ISACA.

            Augmented Intelligence is the evolution of technologies that can reason like humans. It emulates human performance through a taught process, and learns over time to engage in natural dialog and execute on demand. There are three uses of technology beyond data analytics which are Robotics process information (RPA), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other.

            Robotics process information (RPA) is a software solution that runs unattended, working like a virtual employee with legacy application performing repetitive tasks reliably at the UI level. For examples compassing and sending emails, Automation of clicks and data entry, Competition of auditable activity logs, entering a data into a system and rules based processing and activities making.

            Furthermore, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a software-driven intelligence that mimics human cognition, behavior and thought processing to replicate more complex tasks that include professional judgement and historical knowledge. Including machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, natural language generation, neutral networks and predictive algorithms.

            Use for others in technology beyond data analytics is complementary technologies, tools and architectures that can be combined with other layers on the spectrum to automate to a business process of human experience. For example, sensors, Internet of things, conversational Agents (chat bots), unmanned aerial systems (Drones) and Macros.
