The behaviors of being homosexual were what made them “weak”, and they were to continue, it would be corrupt to other citizens. May 24, 1928, Nazi’s made a “paragraph 175” talking about their issues with homosexuality. 

Later on they added to the paragraph once it was legal to persecute Jews just because.

Out of all the groups persecuted, Nazis cared more about German citizens and their homosexual behavior.

The fact of being homosexual was already bad to Hitler before he started persecuting groups of people.

The two jobs they had were clay pits and stone quarries. The prisoners were to weak to do these difficult tasks, where if they were doing the clay pit, they would have to push heavy carts of clay up a hill and if the prisoners were unable to they would have to let the carts roll on them. Even with the stones, German soldiers would find the heaviest stone to give them. Before the Holocaust, all gay places were forbidden and an act was being made against them. Homosexuals were first being persecuted before Jews were being taken in 1933.

“When Jews had to sleep, they were made to put their arms outside of the covers because they were in Barracks with other men that were homosexual too.”Jewish people didn’t have nothing on Homosexual people. It was very wrong how they were treated and other groups.

When Homosexuals weren’t being abused or “re-educated”, guards would think of ways to “play” with the prisoners while they were bored. These games would result in their death. Prisoners wasn’t allowed to be 5 meters near the barbed wire gate. The guards would choose a prisoner,  put a bucket of water on their head and spin them around. Once they’ve gotten dizzy the prisoner would spin near the gate, and get close to it. If you got close to the gate you would get shot for “trying to escape”.

Because it was so illegal to be homosexual in Germany, Heger nor other survivors were able to tell their story. Heger ended up doing that though, writing a biography about his struggles in concentration camps. His sacrifices and hard work was the only thing to keep him alive. He wrote a book called "The Men with the Pink Triangle".

Along with Heinz Heger, he wasn't able to share his story to everyone. When it was okay for people to homosexual he wrote his book "I, Pierre Steel, Deported Homosexual" about what he went through. Pierre was sent to prison because he was accused of being Homosexual, just by being friendly with them.
