As an IB teacher there are several levels of workshops for each subject for teachers to continue with their personal development. This particular one is about the subject of the Theory of Knowledge which is a particular class that all IB students much attend to graduate. I grew up on a farm and now live in a big city and revel in every chance I get to play in the dirt. I'm lazy. I spend a significant part of my time as a teacher trying to get students to be better at time management, but I'm a poor model. I teach a topic that has some core ideas that seem be true and stable throughout time and context but at the same time is ever changing.  I teach very different now from when I started as a teacher, not just because I've grown as a teacher but also because the topics I teach have evolved in our ever changing world.  I think about the students I teach and how vastly different their life is compared to mine at their age, and how vastly different it will still be in the future. The moment you stop learning is to the moment you get left behind.
