Throughout my first two weeks of learning psychology, the class mainly went through how to perform an experiment and how to do it in the most accurate way possible. I find it interesting that there are so many ways of conducting one experiment and what makes it ethical and which factors are going to make the experiment less likely to succeed. The part I found most interesting was operationalizing hypothesis because each person thought of a different way of making each factor measurable. When we did the warm-up on the last day of the two weeks some people measured the act of kindness with holding doors open while others by the number of cookies handed out. I find the vocabulary to be the most difficult aspect of the course since all of it seems so similar all the time. Overall I am having an optimistic view in the classes however, I would like to have more activities and investigations in class as I do believe they allow us to learn things through concepts instead of through the book or just the teacher alone.

The past two weeks in psychology have really been eye opening. I never knew how careful and detailed one must be to conduct a psychological experiment or evaluation. The various experiments that were brought up in class were very interesting. I especially liked discussing the ethical regulations one must abide by and how simple it can be sometimes for someone to forget them in the process. I can't wait to finally finish learning about how to properly conduct an experiment and get into the experiments already made and what can we infer about the human mind and behavior through them.

The first two weeks in this course have been pleasantly surprising. Initially i was expecting to enjoy this course but not to the extent that I do now. Also, I am surprised at how easily applicable the topics are so early onto the course, and how well I'm understanding so far. I found our class discussions on topics that categorize under cognitive and sociocultural psychology the highlight of the course, so I'm eager to delve further into the topics when we approach them in our course outline.

The past two weeks in psychology have been a wake up call for me. As a person who has procrastinated all her life and complained about any sort of material given to her, i feel like IB Psychology was a full on slap in the face. the course is extermely detailed and complex, but im interested in it which is what makes me want to change my habits ( im getting there :'D ). Im very much intrigued by sociocultural and cognitive psychology, and cant wait to delve more into the topic itself. The fact that we as humans have evolved so intellectually and emotionally baffles me; but what does so even more is the extent in which we try to discover ourselves and how long that process may take. Im also interested in unethical experiments and the future of modern day psychology. Id like to have more in class assignments just to get the information realllly lodged into my mind. Im optimistic about the road ahead of me when it comes to psychology and with the material that comes with this course.

The first two weeks were kind of unexpected for me; when I first attend the class, I thought we'd focus alot on human behaviour but I was sorta wrong, we focused on human behaviour but not as much as I thought, we focused more on experiments and variables and trying to sound smart. Speaking sounding smart, I've discovered that sometimes you need to look smart rather than be smart (true to an extent). For example when someone describes the word the teacher the teacher wants you to say but don't say the super unnecessary complicated word for it, you get slapped in the face (metaphorically of course), but if you stated the word that sounds smart regardless if you understand or not, you get a cookie (I wish). I'm still intrigued by psychology and confident that we'll learn more in due time.
every trip starts with a single step :)

The first two weeks of psychology was honestly amazing and magical. Before taking the course, I read many psychological theories and studies which made me interested in the course. But these two weeks have made me want to learn Psychology in depth. I didn't expect to start reading about experients and research methods at first but I realized it is essential if studying Psychology. I am most interested in the cognitive approach to Psychology because it focuses more on mental processes and emotions. I really want to truly understand emotions. I believe Psychology is one of the most interesting courses you can ever take. I am so excited and can't wait for the upcoming weeks as I would even learn more.

The previous two weeks of studying psychology have been surprising. Learning about the different approaches in studying human behavior (cognitive , biological and sociocultural ) is the most interesting part of psychology in my opinion. Learning about how human behavior is capable of changing due to certain circumstances seems interesting and relatable . A challenging part of psychology is the precautions required before performing an experiment. Accounting for the various factors that can affect an experiment's outcome can be challenging ; however, I am excited to perform my own experiments based on what I have learned so far and am excited to learn about more factors that can affect an experiment's outcome

I thought that I would only enjoy the abstract part of psychology and that I would have to unwillingly grind my way through the research and emprical area of this subject. However, many of the experiments turned out to be very interesting and applying said experiments is pleasantly engaging. What I would love to delve into further would definitely be cognitive psychology, it's the initial reason for me selecting this course.

I discovered that psychology isn't as easy as it seems and the key vocabulary words can be seen as confusing but with a little time dedicated to studying you can memorize them easily. What I really loved discussing was the experiments that were conducted such as Harlows experiment and Watsons experiment. I'd like to dive deeper into cognitive and sociocultural psychology
