A sixth form normally offers students to study A levels for end of year exams and sometimes involves coursework. These A levels then help students to enroll and gain places in university to further diploma studies. It is seen as more academic studies to other curriculums and helps students to peruse the next step of their academic opportunities. Sixth forms are conducted in a school which is a safe environment because at the ages of 16-18 they are still young adults who need guidance from teachers to advance academic studies.

Concentrate on getting some essential life skills, for example enhancing computer skills. Often taking places or advertised in local public libraries. These courses can be a link to other courses that they can take or consider taking in a future. It is likely that their confidence will grow as they progress through the course. There is a strong sense of community and help available during the process and after the courses. Great for mental health and self development.
