The grasslands, birds flying in the sky, sitting on the water and sand where there was some seaweed near the rocks indicates a beautiful view showing appreciation to nature as going through this walk. The birds chirping from the sky connects back memories when going to places, importance of nature and the way the birds chirp in soothing and peaceful way. The birds were migrating from place to place using their wings indicating some form of movement in the natural world they are in. It connects to my experience when waking up in the mornings the bird would sing a song extend my thoughts and horizons. The sounds of the birds links to Victor Wooten’s talk about the use of music where he expressed the idea that it is a way to self-express ourselves(TedxTalks, 2013).

The water and presence of seaweed tasted like salt. I felt peace, happiness and memories coming back to me. This reflected back to my childhood memories when going to the beach with my family. Nature and creative play is an important part of development as it bonds with the natural world, touching the natural materials and allows them to learn that the world is real( Wilson, 2018; Wallin, 2019) where they are using some form of drama to do pretend play with the materials in that learning environment. The scene is quite serene fulfilling and appreciating the elements of nature as the sun and clouds shone through the rocks, sand, water and grasslands. All of these elements as well as the birds chirping and migration adds the experience into a precious way to enlighten the atmosphere and nature within us impacting our memories and lives. This shapes my teaching practice involving more agency and allowing to explore the natural materials of rocks, sand and grass and allowing them to be creative and implement their dramatic play experiences by linking it to my visit. We can play music on what we can hear when visiting this place where the environment plays an important role in children’s learning(Wilson, 2018).

The creative response is a poem about memories when going to this place and how the birds are migrating and moving to a new home as well as helping each other which I saw throughout my walk. I was stationary and moving every now and then. Whilst, exploring this place, this connects my imagination to a new world where there are new possibilities when visiting a place. It also allows me to explore the sand, play with the seaweed, pour water onto the rocks and play with the birds where we can create a story and extend our creativity when doing these kinds of activities and appreciate the nature surroundings.
