I skipped classes, seeking calm delight,

On November 22, a day for me just might .

I swam in the pool, letting worries fade,

Now home, with two pesos, my pockets displayed.

My love will arrive, and my heart be made,

A Badjao asked for coins, but smile I just conveyed.

A gentle smile, for I too know the test,

No money left, yet happiness finds rest.

I'm not alone, in this peaceful nest,

For joy's within, and love's the best.

I chose to unwind, and let go free,

Now content, that's just me.

But solo travels seemed a path unlearned,

Until a campus find, in Lambunao's name,

Ignited courage, and my heart's bold claim.

A stranger in town, with no familiar tie,

I chose to roam, and make my spirit fly,

To leave the familiar, and embrace the new,

And in Lambunao's streets, my story anew.

With every step, I claimed my ground,

And in each challenge, my strength was found,

Now, in my third year, I stand, strong and free,

A testament for courage, and destiny.

And though I started, as a stranger here,

Now Lambunao's home, and I hold it dear.

Yellow, red, pink, violet in sight.

Yet darkness falls, a gentle hue,

Beauty in endings, forever true.

A loyal companion, following me still.

Birds on wires fled, foretelling life's dark pace,

Bruises and scrapes, my sole anticipated ill.

Surrounded by love, no heartache to fear,

Wide leaves as currency, innocence clear.

Papa's arrival brought joy, tinapay so dear,

Childhood's simplicity, my heart held dear.

But now, skinned knees healed, a broken heart

Aches, weighed down by betrayal's heavy art.

Labelled selfish, once-trusting soul now smart,

Experience teaches, innocence departs.

Time's lessons learned, Little Rica's gaze

Now sees the world through wiser, wearier ways.

In my breast, causing my heart unrest

Sometimes it hurts, sometimes serene

Leaves me wondering, "Is this extreme?"

In my cleavage depths or top corner found

Moving slightly, or so I've profound

Fear and doubt creep in, day and night

"Should I see a doctor? Is it right?"

But what if it's benign, a harmless cyst

Perhaps I'm alarmed, and overly stressed?

Yet, better safe, than ignorant and missed.

Shall I consult a doctor?; let expertise guide?

If my health comes first, will I be selfish ? I'll step aside.
