1. I chose my topic of Asian discrimination in college and universities, (specifically the college acceptance of Asians) because as an asian american, I feel that there isn’t enough discussion about this topic; especially when seemingly rarely anyone knew this was an issue to begin with.

2. I am very intrigued with the admission rate between races based on SAT scores. This rate means that between an Asian who scores a 1450, a white person who scores a 1310, and an African American who scores an 1000, they all have an equal admission rate —which clearly is not equal.

3. I did not know about the SAT scores and “equal” admission rates until I began to research my topic.

4. I am wondering if this discrimination towards Asians is also occurring in not just Ivy-League Universities, but also local colleges and UC’s. I also want to see if there has been any legal action against this issue (lawsuits, protests...)

The only thing i regret is the repetitive nature, and I wish i included more factors (such as wealthy white students) to add to the reason why Asians are discriminated against. I also do not like my conclusion, and feel that I didn’t end it with a very good ending.

2. I am most proud of my own ideas, and how these thoughts were from my own brain and not any one else.

3. The hardest part of the entire process was trying to make it flow, but still connecting the dots of how affirmative action relates to college admissions.

4. I have learned a lot about the college process and how unfair it is towards Asians.

5. I would want the world to know about every single detail about my topic because Asians aren't represented at all, and people don't focus on their current problems as they do with other races. This is just as much as racism as it would be if it happened to the black, white, Hispanic, or any other race. What irked me most was how when asked what my topic was by classmates, and I responded with "Asian College Discrimination," they were extremely confused because "Asians don't get any racism." I want to shed light on this one important issue so people would pay attention to other issues.
