-Classroom Rules/Agreements: letting students think about this, they can bring their ideas and as a class we construct what we all believe are healthy rules for our class.

-Scaffolding: sometimes students are shy to interact or don’t have the necessary language to do so. Giving useful language for interaction as well is important.

-Grading Language: not only grading our language to our students’ level, but also showing that we are accessible to the student, not making them feel distant. That creates a supportive environment.
