Helps me understand Abdulla's needs when he feels tired and wants a quick break.

Learnt to calm him down using sensory objects such as, Bouncing ball (Abdulla lies upside down on the big bouncy ball and I move him forward, backwards, side to side) as  mentioned by his OT in his file.

Abdulla loves sensory room and the kinetic helps him calm and relax.

Reading story books with Abdulla on daily basis and asking simple questions about the story or a character/place in the story. (this helps Abdulla express and increases his communication skills.

And it should not be the last goal since I have planned to study further to build a strong educational background and to keep learning.

 ABA will help me learn more about different behavior of students and how to tacle them. such as:

• How behavior works
• How behavior is affected by the environment
• How learning takes place
• Can be adapted to meet the needs of each unique person
• Provided in many different locations – at home, at school, and in the community
• Teaches skills that are useful in everyday life
• Can involve one-to-one teaching or group instruction

And it should not be the last goal since I have planned to study further to build a strong educational background and to keep learning.

Taking him to the Sensory room along with a different friend every-time to interact with them.

Asking simple questions frequently in regards to different occasions such as; do you want to play?, where do u like to go?, how do you feel? to help him express his feelings and needs.

To gain his focus and attention Abdulla takes part in different games like, playing on the smart board where is has to wait for his turn and stay calm till it is his turn to play.

To inform his teacher when he needs a short break or a brain gym he can show breaksignal ( left palm facing down, right hand straight up.).

when he starts playing with something (climbing on the slides) or (banging on other hard materials like wood etc.) I stop him by showing stop signal and say " Abdulla danger" .

Explain why it is dangerous. ‘Abdulla do not climb on the furniture because it will break or you can fall off it.’  Social stories to be used when needed

 Model that you could bump your head - hand to head and say ‘Ow, I could bump my head.’
