I got put into a journalism extended class. i started working on my mind map in the morning. in the mind map I included a range of different idea's i was thinking of doing for unit 8, for example a music video, or a game show, or a short horror movie. In the mind map i included what i would need for each idea. for example with a short horror film, I would need to research film classification, as the target audience, wasn't all going to be 18 and over. So i had to make sure it would be a 15 rated movie. i made two different mind maps. the first one was just for the idea's alone. The second one was about film classification and research. i researched about what you can and can't include in a 15 rated film. I included this in my mind map. I think this is important to know what you can and cannot include in things like this, not just a movie but if i done a children's book for example there would be certain language i could not include in my book.

in the afternoon I started working on my mood bored. now my final idea was to create a short horror film. so I looked onto Google and started looking at different images which would represent my idea. Now I didn't want to just use scary images, i wanted to use other things like film classification. I wanted to include target audience. I also wanted to include the different idea's i had for my story. In one corner i put images of clowns and balloons, in another corner i added paranormal creatures like ghosts. I hadn't printed enough images to put onto my A3 mind map. so i printed a few more images out. Like movie symbols, and lighting photo's. i thought this was a good representative of what i wanted to include in a horror film, the lighting has to be perfect this is so important.

This is something that has to be done in every unit you do, this is talking about the project brief and your plans for the unit. this is also evaluating yourself and your work. i also talk about the pro's and con's of the work, what will go well and what will go wrong. 

in the afternoon i took another look at my mood bored. I decided to write notes around my bored. i thought this will make it easier for me when i pitch my idea to everyone. it will give people more to look at, and it will help me not to forget anything to talk about. I still haven't thought of an ending. i started working on the production sheets. i started working on things like production schedule i found this a little hard as i haven't been put into my group yet properly so i had to come up with the timings on my own. when i get put into my group properly i will then re-do the scedual and write everything out properly.

where are you at?
today I am going to finish and add to the production side of things. 
Task 1: write a new production shcedual with Callum 
Task 2: re-write the script with callum
Task 3: have a team meeting with Callum at the end of the day to see where we are at

today callum wrote up another script for me to read, I also wrote up a production schedule for us both, this is going to help us manage our time and plan out what we are doing. 
we also made a poster advertising people to email us if they are interested in being in our short horror film. As we realised we needed 2 actresses and we stlll had no one. we also were un-decided about how to end our short horror film, so we had a disagreement about this.

today we went round to the drama department and handed out posters to people to see if they were interested in taking part in our film. We found two girls who said they where interested. I gave them my email address and they said they would email me.

in the afternoon me and Callum started editing the script. I didn't like the way he worded some of it, so we re-worded some of the script and changed some things about, but we kept the story line the same. we came to a conclusion with the ending. We just decided to go with callus's idea since it was the easiest to do.

in the morning I finished out my sheets for task 3, I also re-done the whole proposal for unit 8 and wrote about my new plan. Me and sam also done our first team meeting, we spoke about who attended to the meeting, what we had done so far and what our current plans for the day were. We also started writing notes for our first column and what it is going to be about and what we are going to include. we said that i should write my own column which is going to include a diet and fitness plan for meat eaters, but i will also include a fitness section.

This was a day i wasn't in as i was ill so i started working on things at home. the first thing i done was look up different ways to write up exercise plans. After i had gotten a good idea how to write it up i started. i wrote a 3 page article about health and fitness. the first page was about earring healthy, the second page was a exercise plan, and the third page was a really nice food recipe. after writing this i emailed it to Samantha, and she started to work with indesighn. She also write an article about honey and how its unethical. in the morning sam brought in a lot of magazines for us both to look at to see if we could get any more idea's of what to put in our magazine. 
in the afternoon we carried on looking through the magazines and we got a few different idea's which was to do a horoscope page for people and make up different horoscopes. the second idea we had was to write up a second article about the college cafe and writing about what healthy meals/ snacks they do. We where going to write about how unhealthy the food is in the cafe, but we thought some people including the cafe workers might get offended.
