Shortly after the build of the mosque was completed Sultan Ahmed passed away.  In 1934 the mosque went under a restoration project then later re-opened to the public in 1952. The judiciary branch in Turkey is independent. This has been a topic of debate. The judicial system includes the constitutional court. They review the constitutionality of laws and acts of the government. Turkey's form of government is a bit of presidentialism with some parts being parliamentary.</p>]]></description>
