Gustavo Cerati is an Argentinean singer-songwriter and record producer, who received the most fame in being in the Argentinean band Soda Stereo. Cerati is considered one of the best artists of the Argentinean rock scene. Soda Stereo was one of the biggest bands in Latin-America forming in 1982. David Gilmour is an english guitarist, singer-songwriter who was the member for the band Pink Floyd. He joined in 1967, after the departure of Syd Barrett, Gilmour was in the band from 1967 till present time. Gilmour started his solo career in 1978 with his debut album, "David Gilmour", after making Pink Floyd's 10th album, "Animals". Gilmour is considered to be one of the best guitarists ever, some of his work with Pink Floyd has been recognised all around the world and some say that he is the greatest example of not having to be flashy or fast in guitar solos. His work is about what works for the song and how his solos have emotion to the way its being played.

Hendrix liked overdriven amplifiers with high volume and gain, he was instrumental in showcasing the past undesirable sounds caused by the guitar amp feedback. Hank Marvin is an multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and songwriter. He is mainly known as the lead guitarist for The Shadows. Hank moved to London in 1958 with rhythm guitarist Bruce Welch. Before he moved, he played in various groups around the area in Newcastle. While in London, both were recruited to play in Cliff Richards's backing band, The Drifters. The Police were an english rock band formed in London in 1977. From the first few months from their first gig, the main members were Sting who was the leas singer, bass guitar, and primary songwriter. Andy Summers who was the lead guitarist, and Stewart Copeland who was on the drums and percussion instruments. The Police became popular in the late 70s to early and mid 80s through the British new wave scene. Billboard. (2024).

Influence on Gustavo Cerati:

The Police have been a vital influence to Gustavo Cerati as an artist. Andy Summers in particular, as Gustavo got a similar sound to Andy Summers guitar tone. In 1998 Gustavo and Andy collaborated on a Police song that was made back in 1979 named "Bring on The Night". (TvDelia, 2014) Gustavo recalls that the 1979 album "Regatta de Blanc" was one of his favourites when he first heard it. Ever since then, he wanted to contribute his musical colours on one of their songs and with non other then Andy Summers.
