It is so inspiring to see you as a working Mom and Grandma...you are the rock for so many of the people in your life. Joan, I cannot thank you enough for all that you have done through the years for RIS families (students, parents, and all of us). I have seen firsthand how infinitely kind you are to those worried and awkward middle-school students who scurry into the office to ask you the same question as was posed just five minutes earlier...even when the answer is clearly posted in the daily bulletin. You know our kids need patience and true kindness. And you are equally aware that teachers do too. Every time I have a worry or concern, I know that I have a wise and generous friend in the office to help me sort whatever it is out. You have quietly supported and guided me through happy times and through some sad ones. Your genuine care, interest, and wisdom make all the difference. Thank you so, so much.
