I just don't practice it as much as I do with other reading strategies so it would be the lowest on my list.

I am always trying to see how I can relate what I am reading back to myself, or my practice. I always try to draw from my experiences to help me understand new ideas. One area of weakness for me would be visualizing. I sometimes have a hard time seeing a strategy or something in my head.

I think my best strategy is visualizing. It was one thing that made me stick with certain series or authors because of how I could picture what was happening in the story especially in fiction text

I think my weakest strategy is comprehension monitoring. I know that when I struggle with difficult or long text, I find myself re-reading continuously but unsure of what exactly I missed. Sometimes I will also skip entire sections because I know they will be problematic or not worth the effort to slow down and understand what is being said.

I have always been good at reading and taking context clues to define meaning and find information that is not explicitly expressed. Generating and asking questions is a weakness for me. I know I do not ask myself questions as I read but rather just go with the flow of the text instead of questioning comprehension.

I consider my biggest strength to be generating and asking questions because I often have a purpose(s) for reading a text and I generate relevant questions that I expect getting the answers to them would meet my purpose(s) for reading a text. Also, as I'm reading, from time to time, I think about whether any of my questions were answered or are still relevant. Then, when necessary, I eliminate, add more or revise my relevant questions.

I consider my biggest weakness to be predicting because my experiences with doing that reveal to me that my predictions are wrong many times. Many times, I begin to read a text that doesn't seem that much similar to texts that I've read before or that I have an immense amount of background knowledge about, so I don't generate important predictions about what this text is going to say. And also many times, when I do attempt to make predictions, I discover that they are likely to be or are confirmed to be wrong in the process of reading.
