The Main Goal of the Tennessee Valley Authority was to harness water power to generate electricity and to help prevent disastrous floods in the Tennessee valley. It was brought together in hopes to address environmental, economic, and technical issues. The Tennessee Valley was severely affected by the Great Depression which making this Tennesse Valley Authority a key essential in recovery. The Tennesse Valley Authority helped specifaclly the Tennessee Valley with its problems

The Tennessee Valley Authority was successful in my opinion because the main goals that were intended for it were achieved. The dams and the development of a system were used to manage waterways that were created as a goal which would soon provide low-cost electricity and enable more efficient agricultural practices. With more efficient agricultural practices, economy would be helped. The main goals were achieved, and agriculture was helped making this successful.

I believe that the Tennessee Valley Authoty a very well use of federal funding because the outcome of it ws positive. The tennesse Valley Authoirty was provided with neccessary recorery. The building of all neccassry items used to make this Tennessee Valley Authorty come true utalized thousands of new workers. This was ideal considering the high unemployment rates at the time. This was a responsible use of federal funding

Why were some people critcal of this program?

Some people may have been critical or hesitant towards the creation of this program because it required the building of many things such as dams, and waterways. The cost of building dams and waterways were very costly especially at a time of economic despair. This is why many people could have despised the Tennessee Valley Authority. They were wrong because the outcome of this was very well considering many people now had jobs and efficiency was created such as a better way to have electricity, floods could be controlled, and agricutlueral processes became more efficeient.
