"According to reports from the Wall Street Journal, Chinese production has literally made the global markets shiver. China is the third largest and fastest growing export market for the United States and is an even more important market for Italian exports. Chinese production is particularly relevant in the technology sector, which depends on the Chinese manpower to build anything , from computer chips to mobile components. It is still too early to measure the full financial impact of the virus on the technology industry, but the first signs do not look good. Apple, the world's most valued technology company, said it was slashing revenue targets for this quarter and has temporarily closed some of its more than 40 stores in the country. Tesla has made it known that "health epidemics" pose a risk to its business. Amazon, whose eCommerce business is based on the flow of goods between China, the United States and other countries, has not released similar warnings but is piling up items from suppliers from China to protect itself from future outages due to the virus."
In Italy:
the concern occurred between the lines at the supermarket checkout, literally invaded after the ordinances of the Regions that ordered the shutdown of schools, universities and public places. During the weekend, we saw images of supermarkets taken by storm, families looking for basic necessities.
The food outlets have witnessed a movement of worried people who were stocking up a lot. In the supermarkets, prevention has exploded: gloves, masks and regimental supplies. The vials of sanitizing gel were the most bought product ever, even more than pasta and milk, immediately afterwards the masks follow. Early Saturday morning people were queueing for shopping, wandering among the empty shelves; even online Amazon has seen entire stocks of these products disappear, being forced to slow down its famous fast and guaranteed deliveries, with prices out of the ordinary....

What is really happening? Was it all calculated? Is there anything that the population does not know? Are élites hiding something? Do we have to worry? When will all this end? 
I usually think a lot, maybe too

much. I have huge amounts of questions, but few answers. Actually, I still can’t realise. It feels like a science fiction film. 
I don’t feel worried and it scares me: it’s funny. Scientists and doctors say that Coronavirus is a simple flu, but, if it is like that, why do we have to take big precautions? 
I don’t understand. My thoughts are so confused. I try not to think much about all this situation, but it’s extremely difficult. 
I hear the word “Coronavirus” probably fifty or more times a day.

During these weeks of emergency I noticed something relevant: we’re always, perennially in contact with huge numbers of people every single day, every single hour, in every single place except our homes. If we were to be in contact with as few people as possible, we would have to stay in our houses...

I’m extremely embarassed for the Italian situation. We’re the third most infected Country. When we went to France a month ago, there were only three infected people, and now.... 
In Italy, in about a week, we have reached 1500 infected people. 
I don’t want to comment on this.

In general, I don’t know what is going to happen. For now I don’t feel much worried....

I wanted to report the recent case of a 23-year-old Singapore man of Chinese ethnicity who was studying in London. He spoke out about racism linked to Coronavirus after suffering facial injuries in a "racially aggravated assault."

Jonathan Mok wrote about his assault in a post on Facebook, detailing how he was attacked by a group of people in Oxford Street, on February 24th, 2020.
"The guy who tried to kick me then said 'I don't want your Coronavirus in my country', before swinging another sucker punch at me, which resulted in my face exploding with blood (from my nose)," wrote Mok.
Mok said this was not the first time he had suffered racist abuse in the past few weeks, and underlined his determination to highlight an important issue. Mok's case is one of a number of incidents that have occurred in the UK during the global Coronavirus outbreak.
There is also the possibility that this Covid-19 is just an excuse to awfully give vent to a racist attitude that already existed.
In any case, I believe that behind every kind of hate there is ignorance, therefore it is vital to keep reading newspapers, and keep up to date and study!
