PL 99-457
The Education of the Handicapped Act Amendments
1986
This Law addressed early interventions, and mandated that the state must provide services to the families of children born with a disability
This is the first Law we have learned about that helps learners as young as newborn
This will affects families with children with a disability from 3-5 years old
This helps Special Education as this starts our learners families out with services as if they will need them further in life and possibly more intense, so it will ease them into the Special Ed realm
