Government Policies and Spending

The issue I am addressing is that the government is spending too much money on our current education or close to none in other districts. There are also too many policies and some of them might be outdated or there are too many requirements in the schools.

This problem interests me mainly because its an issue some schools around my town have. There are school districts where they cant spend a lot at all because there isn't a lot of money at all or there are schools districts where they spend too much and we end up with little to no money at all. "Federal and state policymakers proposing new Education programs often base their arguments on the need to provide more resources to schools to improve opportunities for students" (Does Spending More on Education Improve it).The policies in our schools interest me because we need to complete certain classes and requirements in order to graduate and sometimes, they might be too much for certain people. There are policies that are out dated and some are too harsh.

We might be able to solve these problems by the schools creating a better budget to make our education better and not worse. Solving this problem isn't going to be an overnight solution and if they solve these problems, it will take awhile for the new policies to start up. Another example, according to experts, can be "States should have the freedom to opt out of federal education programs and should be allowed to consolidate federal funding in order to direct resources to any lawful education purpose under state statute" (Solutions for America). In my opinion, we should have more options for schools and we should have new policies for our schools to make them better instead of spending all this money on useless programs for our schools.

Based on my research, I believe that if this problem isn't solved, its just going to keep adding up until parents might eventually start pulling their kids out of schools because of how bad the budgets might be and how the policies are getting harder and harder for kids to complete their school requirements. Schools are getting tougher due to how the budget is handled and the policies aren't helping with it either. If the budget problem isn't fixed, kids wont receive the right education they will need for their future.
