I was hiking around a beautiful lake in Añana, Álava and suddenly I came across this explanation about that lake. It's an amazing lake, so I suppose that in Lithuania we are going to see similar places, as you can read in the inscription.

Kaunas, is the second most populated city in Lithuania after Vilnius, for its buildings it was awarded the European Heritage Seal.

The Devil's Museum, -it is the only one in the world-, according to the locals: "you should not be afraid to buy a souvenir of this type", they said: "The devil brings happiness and good luck".

Shopping: The city is full of jewelry stores -it is an amber paradise -and shops selling paintings, handmade clay items, sculptures and tapestries, toys made of wood, and linen dresses. Straw hats of various shapes and sizes, with fairy-tale figures, belts, plates, ashtrays and beer mugs are offered to tourists on the streets.

Other souvenirs are the alcoholic beverages that are produced, liquor or brandy, very famous throughout the world; the Sakotis cake leaves no one indifferent, and whose dough is a mixture of egg and flour that is fried in a special frying pan over a fire and obtains a cake with a unique appearance and original flavor. Will have to try it!!

Our main activity this morning has been the reception in the city hall of Panevezys.
They have been very friendly with us. They have offered us coffee, some candies, water, and they also gave us a little gift.
The main gift has been a sustainable bag for our groceries.
It has been very kind personnel.

Yesterday we shared our work about our region with the Lithuanian people in the library.
If you ask me, it has been an amazing moment full of nervous and adrenaline, but, finally, we did it, and the response of the people was very warm.
After this, we worked together in groups sharing impressions about both cultures, and comparing the differences.

For me Lithuania was unknown. I didn’t know anything about the country, beyond that, I imagined it was cold and green.

Apart from the information sought the previous days before the trip, that made me expectant and excited about the country so different. It was a wonderful surprise. They enjoy a green and lush landscape, from a hard and interesting story and they are cosmopolitan and warm people.

I have heard about Lithuania when I studied geography, but like a country that was just a name.

Now it’s different, I have been there and it has its own personality, history, people, landscape, economy and many things more but above all a country in very rapid transformation to whom I wish from the bottom of my heart that they travel their own path.

I had never thought of going to Lituania, but now, thanks to the Erasmus project that EOI provides to its students, I WANT TO BACK. I want to go back to a great little country where, after having lived hard years, you can feel the affection of the people. And above all a unique and very positive experience for the strengthening of the study of the language that concerns us.

I don´t have words to express all the feelings but if I have to choose one, for me the best part of this amazing experience has been the human warm that we have received from people in Lithuania.

A worderful experience.
When I was given the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ program, I felt very lucky because these experiences are one of those you cannot miss.
I had to go to Lithuania, a country that I didn't know and that I hadn't thought would be a suitable destination, however I was wrong. I have been fascinated by everything I have known; the places, the people, the food......I couldn't be more fascinated by this country.
In addition to the experience of the program in which we have practiced and learned English in different ways and with very involved people I would also like to say that they have treated us very well, and I have felt at home.
And what can I say about my classmates and teachers, it has been a pleasure to meet them and share such good experiences! I hope and wish to share another Erasmus with them again soon.

I have loved participating in this Erasmus program for adults of the EOI, -in my time as a student there was no Erasmus-, without a doubt I have learned in those meetings organized by Virginija in the Panevezys Library, with all the people who attended in those groups of coffees, and programmed activities.

Her visit to City Hall was fantastic, I enjoyed the powerpoint that they showed us and explained, I can say that it was one of the activities that I liked the most.

Regarding the country, I was impressed by Vilnius, its University and part of its old medieval city, its history of struggle until achieving its independence in the year 1990. You also enjoy its nature - forests, wetlands and rivers -, a place Fantastic Trakay, its lake and castle are impressive.

Thank you all, to my classmates for helping and making this immersion easier, to the teachers Virginia and Amelia, working to make everything go well.

A hug to everyone and to say that "I look forward to repeating this experience."
