Creating a safe classroom culture founded upon mutual respect will ensure students are aware of their expectations and find value and purpose in their time at school. I focus on highlighting positive behaviors to subsequently instill a sense of intrinsic motivation. I also ensure students are held accountable for the choices that they make. Structure allows students to strive and it is my belief that quality classroom management is the most essential element of teaching.</sup></blockquote>]]></description>

In this lesson the students were able to construct a numberline counting by tens. We then discussed how other numbers were "hidden" inside the numberline and only benchmark numbers were shown. The students were able to zoom in on the number line to then round a particular number to the nearest ten. </sup></blockquote>]]></description>
