Mr.Brown is a phenomenal teacher. I am not a math person but Mr Brown has really helped me to improve and become a lot better and I feel better about math and because of him I am looking forward to going to math every day. He really cares about every student and is so kind patient funny and so much more. He had worked so hard to make his classroom feel comfortable and he his done that he got comfy chairs and new bean bag chair a clock a carpet and a lot more. I never really thought that I would want to go into a classroom and even feel comfortable till I was in Mr Browns classroom. I feel ready to learn. I have math in the first hour and at the beginning of the year I thought it was going to be a nightmare but really it was amazing with his positive energy I am excited to learn. He is super supportive and is an amazing listener. He really takes time to think of his students and really cares about everyone in the room, I feel very comfortable and safe in his room. He is so fun and always makes me laugh and puts a huge smile on my face. He works so hard for all his students and always tries to make it feel like I can do anything. Mr. Brown is amazing. Every day he does his very best to be the best teacher he can possibly be (and he really does that). He is truly amazing he deserves teacher of the year. -Noelle Stevenson

Mr. Brown is literally the BEST. He always helps me when I'm struggling, but he makes it fun. He always makes me laugh but he gets things done. I love having him for the first hour because the first hour is usually tough for me. Even though I'm not a math person, he makes it fun for me to learn. I've noticed that I've excelled so much from being in his class. I'm very happy that I got him for my math teacher this year.

mr. brown is such a good teacher and he deserves this because he can tell when your struggling or confused in class and comes to help without you even asking, and he's such a funny teacher and he's very supportive with stuff in and outside of school, and he really cares about every student. When I think of why Mr Brown deserves teacher of the year, I think of the ways he has made me smile. My favorite memory of Mr Brown was my 12th birthday when I was in the sixth grade. Mr Brown called me out of my class to come down to his classroom. When I got to his class, he told me stand on a chair in front of the whole class and spin around and do a silly dance while his class (a class full of 8th graders) sang happy birthday to me. I genuinely could not stop laughing. I have never had a teacher do that for me before. He cares a lot about his students. He has stuck out for me and made sure I was still doing good in school throughout the years. He has always made sure to let me and my sisters know that he is there to help us when we have any questions or need help with schoolwork, even now that I am in highschool. He is not only an awesome teacher, but an even more genuine person who goes above and beyond to show that he cares about his students. He absolutely deserves this recognition as teacher of the year. Thank you Mr Brown!

Mr. Brown deserves Teacher of the Year because he isn't just someone who teaches math or any other subject, he is a coach, a mentor, and someone anyone can go to when they need anything school related or not. Him and I met in 7th grade when he got brought up to teach Advanced 7th grade math, he genuinely took the time to teach my class every topic by constantly doing examples together, going to students individually and teaching them the topic. He is amazing at cheering kids up when they are upset with his silly jokes, and he shows up for his students at their athletic events to show that he cares about them. He does anything he can to show how important his students are to him, for example he coached Track at Pierce. He always encouraged kids to join to get more involved in the school and to just have fun. He always checks up on me even though I am at Kettering now and always encourages me to go above and beyond with my academics. Mr. Brown should receive Teacher of the Year, Thank you for everything.

Mr. Brown is the best teacher I have ever had. He makes it much easier to understand math and makes me want to learn more from him everyday and he always makes learning fun. He helped me grow as a person and student and has helped me feel more confident as a person. I know that every student that has ever had Mr. Brown as a teacher could say the same. He goes above and beyond by even spending his free time with students during lunch and allowing them to ask for advice or anything they might need help on and he always gives the best advice. He always makes sure that every student has what they need to be successful and happy. It’s obvious that Mr. Brown puts a lot of effort into not only his job but every student that enters his class. While my daughter hasn’t had the pleasure of being in Mr. Brown’s class, she is fortunate to be one of his after-school tutoring students. She often says, "He makes learning fun and interesting." His positive influence extends beyond the classroom, as he brightens the morning drop-off line with his warm smile and friendly fist bumps, making each student feel special.

In a time when teachers are too often undervalued and underappreciated, it’s clear that Mr. Brown goes above and beyond to support his students. As someone who works within the ISD, I see firsthand how the expectations on teachers continue to grow with little recognition or reward. I have hated math since my first day of kindergarten. “it doesn’t make sense!” “why are they adding numbers?” “it’s too hard!” i would ALWAYS say that to my parents or my peers around me. i struggled with math my whole life until 7th grade. i went into the school to get my classes and see my locker, when i walked into Mr.Browns classroom and immediately knew that i was going to be happy in there. he welcomed me with a big smile, and his room just made me feel so happy. I actually understood math because of him. Mr.Brown had us do fun assignments and he made handshakes and nicknames with kids like we were his family and not just students. i became smarter and happier because of Mr.Browns math class and i am very sure that everyone at Pierce who has interacted with Mr.Brown can tell you he is such a great person to be around and he is an amazing math teacher.

Mr Brown is the best teacher, I could ever ask for as a student that goes to Pierce Middle School. he is kind he is funny he will always be there for you he is respectful he will be patient for you and even when your class is not the best which I relate he will just settle the class down he will make the class better and after we had a bad hour before or a good hour before he will be the best teacher and he. Made me like math a few years ago and last year I did not like math at all but then I stepped into Mr Brown's class and then something's changed I felt like I loved math. He taught me in the way that I understand he's making my two steps equations makes sense to me and I saw someone who stroke was struggling with the bullying problem and he helped them straight away every step through the way and he will always look out for you if you tell him what's going on he will even keep his secret he does have some rules just be chill with him and he'll always be trouble with you I'm joking he will always be kind nice and respectful to you that's why he would be the best fit for Teacher of the Year this year.

Mr. Brown is exceptionally talented when it comes to coping with loud middle schoolers, communicating with his co-workers, and teaching over disobeying kids. Mr. Brown’s class has been nothing short of mind opening and incredible, I have struggled with Math my whole life but with the help of Mr. Brown I’ve gotten my grade up to an A-. My classmates have been helpful, kind, and supportive of Mr. Brown’s teaching; Giving the title of “Teacher of the Year” would be an understatement for how wonderful this class has been.

His class is my favorite of the day and the way he sets up his curriculum makes it easier to understand especially when he show alternative methods to do something. Mr. Brown completely altered my mindset when it came to learning. He made learning math fun and easy. Math never felt like a chore when Mr. Brown was my teacher. He was also someone I knew I could go to if I was ever having trouble. He made his classroom a second home and it helped with my middle school experience tremendously.

Why do I think that Mr. Brown should be teacher of the year?

I believe Mr. Brown should be nominated for Teacher of the Year for many great reasons. First, he works hard every day. With determination to do the best he can for the school. He arrives at school early to make sure his lesson plans are ready and the best they can be, which helps his students understand the material better.

What makes Mr. Brown stand out from others, is how he treats his students and colleagues. He is kind and respectful to everyone and creates a classroom that feels safe and welcoming for all. For many students, he’s not just a teacher—he’s also a mentor, a trusted adult, and even a coach.

Mr. Brown knows how to make learning fun. He finds ways to make lessons interactive, and he never makes students feel overwhelmed. He explains things clearly, so every student feels confident in their ability to succeed. He also answers every question and makes sure no one is left behind.

What’s amazing about Mr. Brown is his passion for teaching. He walks into class every day with a big smile on his face, and his positive attitude helps his students enjoy learning. He makes them excited to come to class and learn, while also giving them the tools to succeed.

For all these reasons and so much more, I believe Mr. Brown truly deserves to be Teacher of the Year.

In 6th grade, I use to not like math and always get bad grades on things because I just didn't understand. But the Improvement that I had the first week in Mr. Browns class is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Mr. Brown deserves the teacher of the year award because of his incredible teaching skills, and how he engages with his students. I was one of Mr. Browns first students he ever taught. I was a new student and he was a new teacher. He helped me understand things I didn’t get and he would always be there if I needed help. Mr. Brown has a great way of teaching, he connects with his students so he can teach them in a way they understand. Along with giving them advice on things just like he did with me. His personality says it all, he is a very positive person, if you say something is to hard or that you can’t do it. He will help you along the way and show you that you can do anything. I know Mr. Brown personally and as a teacher, and he is the perfect fit for the teacher of the year award.

Mr. Brown has been my favorite teacher ever since sixth grade. You can come to him with anything and he’ll help you. Mr. Brown includes everyone in class even the kids that some teachers “gave up” on or wouldn’t bother with anymore. He’s definitely the best teacher I’ve ever had, I still go to him after school for tutoring to help me with the material I don’t understand. When I did have his class though it was very fun and easy to be in. I’d never come to school and say how I didn’t want to go go his class, his class was my favorite of all my classes. If I think anybody deserves this award is would be Mr. Brown!
