• When first entering, it was noticed that he was the only one who constructed his pitch around music which made Levi seems charming and likable. He instantly draws the Dragons' attention. This proves that he have the characteristics of creativity and originality which is always an advantage when being an entrepreneur. Instead of being bored with his pitch, he now gave the Dragons a reason to listen to the whole song.

• After recognizing his mistake in numbers and the profit after a year of production, Levi still stick to his plan. Even though the mistake he made is a thousand time bigger than the actual number of sales, he still wanted a big warehouse, enough equipment to expand his business. Because of his resilience, he left a good impression and end up persuading the Dragons and closing the deal with 2 of them.

He's very confident and understands his products that he brought up, starting by telling the Dragons the statistics that he made, 15 years of selling the sauce, and the profit that he made last year, to impress the Dragons. In addition, he surprised the Dragons by telling them about the deal that he got from the customers for thousands of litres of sauces and thousands to millions of pounds. Even though he made some small mistakes with the numbers and the deal, he still kept his calm and corrected it with the Dragons, that's great because calling for investment is not easy, showing how passionate, how calm and how confident of the entreperneurs (the owner) can lead to the future and the potential of the business.

The main challenges faced in this pitch were communication. Levi was not clear on what the letter offers when he gave it as proof to the Dragons. As well as his calculation, going from 16 million dollars when in fact it was just a few hundred thousand is a big jump. This had make the Dragons think that he is more of a musician than he is an entrepreneur. Not only does this causes a confusion for himself and the Dragons but this also shows that he is inexperience in business pitching.

However, as a humble and down-to-earth man himself, he does not back down or turn away. He acknowledges his mistake and immediately act upon them. He did not change his business plans despite knowing that he will not make as much profit as he thought that he would. He stays ambitious, goal-driven and curious. He know what he wants and that proves that Levi will be working hard on his goal. This leads to deals being made with the Dragons, proving that although mistakes were made, it is never impossible to succeed.

What made his pitch memorable to me was how authentic and confident he was. Aside from utilising his natural charisma, he was also willing to admit that his entrepreneur skills were lacking to the Dragons and his fault of overestimated the size of the order (2.5 million litres of sauce). Furthermore, he answered all the questions confidently and didn't fold against the pressure of the Dragons' questionings. He had faith and pride in his business and didn't change the offer even though his numbers proved to be wrong.

The biggest weakness of his pitch was his argument overall. His main argument and supporting evidence to show that his business is lucrative and has potential to grow big was the 2.5 million litres of sauce order wasn't persuading because the Dragons had pointed out that it was actually 2500kg of sauce instead, way lower than what he pitched. Furthermore, he didn't explain the food safety concern very well (he makes the sauce at home with his children) which can be a big dealbreaker and health concern to not only the Dragons but customers too.

I would choose to invest in Reggae Reggae sauce because of the following reasons:

Furthermore, though Roots overestimated the order size of his deal, he has already managed to strike up a deal beneficial enough for his business. Investors will be more trusting with people who are as down-to-earth and honest about their business too. With his confidence and passion for his product, he just need to garner more business experience, entrepreneur skills and do thorough research beforehand to deliver an accurate and persuasive pitch and secure a loan/investment/offer.

One of the challenges that levi faced during his pitch is that he made some miscalculation where his intended profit for a year is around 1000 times larger than the actual one. This has lead to a few troubles since this would be a very high risk for the dragons to invested into his business. However, he was able to get proposed an offer from 2 dragons through his personality and charm. With these 2 factors, Levi was able to make them interested in working with him. Hence, another challenge arise was that the deal he was proposed demand 2 times the equity but also provide him the money he needed for the expansion. However, Levi quickly accepted the offer because he knows that there are no better option than this and he doesn't even try to argue since he knows that it is a high risk for any investor to invest in his business.

The product itself is also really unique as it successfully transfer the cultural message in which it target the Caribbean region. So by showing the confidence, strong beliefs, great communication skill and his authenticity, Levi made the presentation to be wonderful.

The main weakness in his pitch is that he did not managed to get most of his calculations right. This means that his financial skills and knowledge can be very limited. This means that he may get into the market where the demand is low and he will barely make any sales. Moreover, as he is currently making the sauce by himself, it will cost a lot to expand as he haven't purchased any equipment or machinery. And this needs proper financial calculation otherwise the big investment but low sales will be a big trouble for the business. The niche market will also means that it will be harder to expand. He also have just one product only and it will be difficult to adapt when preferences in the market change, I think we still need to have a variety of flavour so that it satisfy more customers. However, as he relied on the cultural factor as well as personality to sell the product, adapting the sauce can completely destroy the brand image or reputation. So it is a denial for me.
