If for some reason what we do is different from the rest, we become "weird" and society begins to judge us. Clarisse is said to be "antisocial" just because she is full of curiosity. Everyone judges her because she is different and everybody else is the same. This proves how society does not want people to ask too many questions because it bugs them. The hound symbolizes how one can only know what is expected from it. Yes, it is good to know, but when does it become too much?
