My name means dragon in two languages.  The name comes from Chinese as well as the Japanese language.  My name can be written in three different ways in Japanese, two different ways in Chinese, and of course it can be written in English.  The name, as researched from urban dictionary, also means strong, protector, lover, fighter, and warrior.  My parents had already chosen my name before I was born.  They wanted a name for me that was cool as well as very simple and easy to say.  That’s when they thought of the name Ron because Ron is very simple in English, Chinese, and Japanese.  My name reminds me of my origins in the world.  My first name being the same character in both Japanese and Chinese as well as my last name being a popular name in Cantonese.  I feel that my name is really cool because it is pretty unique as not a lot of people are named with the combination Ron Ng.  I am really glad that my parents thought of such a name.  

Throughout my life my feelings about my name have not changed.  It is easy to say, very short to write, and very similar among many languages.  All these reasons contribute to why the feelings of my name have not changed throughout the years.  My name is really special to me because my parents thought of it as special as well.  When my parents told me about the significance of my name, I was really glad and thought of it as really special.  I have never thought about having a different name or changing it.  My name is what makes me who I am.
