In the men's products, the colors are always very subdued—never vibrant or eye-catching. Additionally, the font used on the bottle is usually very "hard" or considered traditionally "masculine," which perpetuates the hard v. soft gender stereotype. Additionally, as we can see in the last photo, men's gel usually incorporates athletics or sports into the marketing, whereas similar products for women don't talk about sports, which perpetuates another gender stereotype that woman aren't athletic. When we look at the women's hair products, many are generally pink, have curly, traditionally "feminine" font, and usually show photos of dainty things—such as flowers—to attract women.
