In my opinion, Internet is the greatest invention ever and it has made a significant impact on our lives. The history of the Internet begins with the development of electronic computers in the 1950s. Nowadays it became an integral part of life of each person. Now people can’t live a day without visiting their favourite sites or checking their mail. So, I'm going to speak about advantages and disadvantages of using the internet.
 
 The benefits are obvious.  The most important advantage of the Internet is that you can keep in touch with your distant relatives. It has become easier to meet like-minded people from all over the world and become friends with them. Secondly, there are millions of Internet sites storing plenty of useful data about everything: science, history, psychology, sports, fashion, music, cooking and many other subjects. We can also download our favourite movies or songs or play games. Many people feel that the Internet saves our time and money. For example, we can do online shopping choosing the necessary thing at the best price. We don’t need to go to the library: surfing the net can easily help us to find and open the book we need.

However, there are many drawbacks of the Internet. First of all, they are viruses, which can be very dangerous for our computers. Furthermore, there is a lot of violence and cruelty on the Internet. As a result, the number of suicides, depressions and people addicted to drugs has increased. Moreover, many teenagers spend a lot of time sitting at the computers and as a result they spoil their eyes. Also, some people become rather addicted to it.  Last but not least is our security. When we send an e-mail, our message can travel through many different networks and computers. I think it's wrong, because anyone can see our personal data.
 
To sum it up, The Internet has completely changed our life, but it must have reasonable limits.

Many inventions have impacted the world throughout history, but in my opinion one of the most impactful one’s was the invention of the radio. What is radio? Radio is a way to send electromagnetic signals over a long distance, to deliver information from one place to another. A machine that sends radio signals is called a transmitter, while a machine that "picks up" the signals is called a receiver. A machine that does both jobs is a "transceiver". When radio signals are sent out to many receivers at the same time, it is called a broadcast. There are many disputes about who is the real inventor of the radio, but in our country it is considered that it was done by Alexander Stepanovich Popov in 1895. 
 
Radio is a popular mass medium in almost all countries of the world. But like another inventions it has some advantages and disadvantages. I want to begin with advantages. Main benefit of radio is that it’s one of the best sources of rapid receipt of important information. It reports politics, religion, and even traffic news.  
Secondly, radio is entertaining. It’s entertaining to listen to your favorite songs again and again or hear the world latest songs but you also get entertained with the DJs. They tell jokes and share experiences of their personal lives. They even invite celebrities or famous people in their radio station to interview. Thirdly, radio is a good stress reliever. When you are stuck in traffic, it is inevitable for you not to lose your temper. Listening to pleasant music can help you calm down, hearing some jokes cheering you up. Last but not the least is that radio is available everywhere. Nowadays radio can be enjoyed at home, in office, in the shopping center, while driving a car. Also many modern mobile phones have radio.
 
However, there are some drawbacks of the radio. First of all, radio is only an audio medium for communication. Deaf people and people who find it difficult to understand information aurally can’t enjoy it. Furthermore, during bad weather you cannot listen to the radio properly. Thunderstorm and lightning affect to electromagnetic waves which is leads to the bad connection. Finally, science and technology are developing, new inventions which are better, more comfortable and easier to use are appearing and radio will no longer be able to hold its presence as another mediums can replace it very soon.

In conclusion, I want to say that radio is very important and useful invention that deserves to exist in our life.

That is why the Education Ministry gives the opportunity to experiment with electronic tablet devices for educational purposes. It was found out, that almost 90 percent of students from Belarus are ready to buy such devices.

As for advantages of e-books:

1.    You can load your digital copies of ordinary school textbooks and additional materials for your work.
2.    You can voice any text, describe diagrams and tables, create presentations.
3.    There is no need to carry your heavy books every day.
4.    You can save a lot of money.

Some disadvantages of this device:

1.    Reading texts on small screens sometimes can be problematic and harmful for your vision.
2.    E-books require power (you need to charge it)

Electronic books are becoming more and more popular. Some people say that e-books are going to replace traditional books in the future, while others are convinced that print books will never disappear. To sum up, I think that our lives would be dull without books because reading develop our imagination, broadens our horizons and entertains us and there is no even matter whether books are electronic or printed on paper.

What devices of the future we can see today? What technologies are developing  now?  Maybe, one of this technologies is virtual reality. In fact, it is no new. The first prototypes of virtual reality glasses were invented in 70’s. But we start talking  seriously about virtual reality now, when big electronic corporations, such as: Sony, HTC, Microsoft began produce and sell VR glasses and VR helmets. In addition they introduce virtual reality to masses.

Advantages of VR glasses:

1)    It is a really interesting type of entertainment .You can travel in beautiful artificial worlds and play games in VR;
2)   VR glasses can replace TV, telephone and gaming console, because they have great power;
3)   It is a good training for soldiers, which allow them to feel atmosphere of battlefield;
4)   VR is a very useful technology  for engineers and designers, because they can make projections of some things.

VR glasses are very expensive, but high price of glasses is not only problem of “technology of the future”. The most important drawback of VR is a strong influence at the health and you can not play games or watch films more than one hour in VR glasses, because it is a very bad for your eyes and brains. Futhermore, some critics of Virtual reality said, that this sort of technology without careful regulation will be nothing more than a high-tech instrument for spreading violence and advertising.

Our world is full of different gadgets and modern devises.They all have one intention to make our life easier and comfortable. As for me laptop is very important devise in my life. In one thing we can combine different functions and options. First of all I like that all my favourite songs, films, games can be collected into one place. It is great that we can forget about flash cards or discs and just use your laptop. I also like that I can use Internet with its help and save my infiormation without any problems. I can really have communication with my foreign friends and it is not difficult to do it even in  Internet cafe.But as all modern gadgets laptop has some drawbacks. Low battery is terrible for me, you should always keep this in your mind. And I also spend too much time on my Internet sitting. My life is really great because of this gadget but many guys have already grown up without it. What to do - this is the prise of progress.

Myth, magic and transferring experience from person to person are pre-scientific knowledge that helped people to live.

To begin with, in the last century and at the present time science developed and is developing very quickly. About 80-90% of all scientific and technical inventions have been made in the 20-21th centuries. Nowadays scientific inventions are becoming more and more important in reality. 

In my opinion, the invention of the computer is one of the best inventions of the 20th century. Answering the question "Who invented the computer?" isn't so simple. Honestly, a lot of people tried to create this device. I think that all of them have contributed to the creation of a computer the way we can see it now. And answering the question of which device is worthy to be called the first computer, you can give different answers.
Computers have both advantages and disadvantages. 

As for the main advantages:

1) According to the young generation, the first main advantage is the Internet. This network can connect people living in different countries and cities. Now it's very easy to call anywhere in the world. You can find any information and a job on the Internet, many people earn money at home; you don't need to spend much time in libraries to find the right books.  But it's worth remembering that not all computers have it.
2) Computers can store large volumes of information for many files.The work of editing information is made mush more easy and simple.
3) Last but not least advatage is that people can use statistical and mathematical programms for decision making and further purposes without learning in details the algorithms used for computing.

The main disadvantages of computers:

1) Use of computers require additional infrastructure. For example, the computer can't work where there is no electricity. 
2) People use the computer for negative activities. They hack the computers and they can steal important documents from big organizations. 
3) The computer manufacturing processes and computer waste are polluting the environment. Another disadvantage is that computers are also bad for people's health. For example, wasting time on computer games affect the psyche and human behavior.

Finally, I'm not against computers, but I am not a fan either.
