In general, in both films I feel that the role of women is very important and quite empowering for women who have been through quite traumatic and difficult moments that they have been able to face, at least speaking specifically of each film in I,Tonya show us the role of a resilient woman who despite all the difficulty that her life to be exposed to abuse knew how to get out of that bad with perseverance and fighting for their dreams I achieve it, as for Suffragette is a role of resilience and struggle for social change that will benefit all women in general.

PERCEPTIONS OF WOMEN

Family: I feel that throughout the two films we can see that many times the family is the one that initiates the problems that we develop, at least in the film of I,Tonya see how from the beginning the mother of it is who mistreats her and that this follows to the point that her husband continues with that violence and as for Suffragette the husband of the protagonist at the beginning does not feel very much in agreement with the fight that she is having
Friends: In the two films the relations of friends with each protagonist is very close, they seek that these achieve their propositions and unite to help them at least in I, Tonya his friend Shawn is the one who plays the role of faithful friend who helps whenever he can and in Suffragette the group they create themselves in search of the same goal is very united and seek to support each other even if not everything is good and as in everything will always be the bad people on both sides of the film also seek the fall of the protagonists for example when in I,Tonya her own friends testify against her to bring her down.
Society: In both films, women are perceived as marginalized, oppressed and even criticized enough, their rights are often violated for their duties a clear example of this we find in Suffragette where it is shown that they are paid less than men for the same work, denied access to education and career opportunities and subjected to sexual violence and harassment, In I, Tonya we see how those stereotypes that we have in society affect the moment to see how a woman makes a profession so in that case they judge her for not being a conventional skater.
Politics: In this are often perceived as a danger to what the power seeks, at least in Suffragette they seek a social change and to the power in if it does not suit them then they begin with the repression and they exercise the violence so that they do not fulfill their mission in I, Tonya is less perceived but even so I feel it is important to mention that they reflect a lot the way women’s voices are ignored and silenced and that stereotypes are created and transmitted to everyone.

In my opinion throughout history the woman has been very demigraded,it is very difficult to deal with these issues but I feel that if we all come together in a single proposal we can achieve many things and although it is quite difficult it is not impossible to make ourselves heard in the films show us as sorry for everything the protagonists never cease to persist and to fight for what they want so we should all be, mutual support is very important.

In both films the most uncomfortable moments I could see and that really marked me were the abuses presented by the protagonists, at least in I,Tonya when she is physically and emotionally abused by her husband, where Jeff beats Tonya, throwing objects at him and threatening him verbally and in Suffragette seeing when Maud is sexually assaulted by her head of the laundromat where she’s working, I was uncomfortable because throughout my life and I could observe from afar how men for being stronger attack and denigrate women, and as in many occasions even in our own homes by our own close beings we can be abused is unbelievable.

TALKING TO MY FAMILY MEMBERS

What questions did you ask these two female participants?
- What do you think was the most difficult situation you experienced in your childhood?
- What situation in your past made you feel different?
- According to what you heard or even talked to other people, what perspective did they have of the woman when you were young?
- When you were little what was your dream? Did you fulfill it? If you didn’t fulfill it why didn’t you?
What stories were meaningful for the members you spoke to?
Grandmother: The most significant story for her I think that in general it has been her childhood at least my grandmother comes from the field and I feel that alla the childhoods are quite coomplejas at least the abuses are my normal and the abandonment of the parents even more is why the children from small learn to work and prefer not to study or simply the income is not enough for the study.
Mother: At least for my mom I think the story that I meant most in her life was the deception on the part of my dad, because it is not only the deception is to see that there were children in between on both sides so I feel that this would be that story.
What stories were meaningful for you and why?
I think the story that shocked me the most was how my grandmother was almost abused, because we had never really talked about it and I feel that at that time women were more exposed to experiencing those things and even worse that the popes believed her was harder and hearing how she didn’t let this happen makes me admire her a lot because at least to me I happen to be harassed by some man or other places and I feel small next to them.
What conclusions can you make from the members' stories?
Grandmother: The conclusion I got was that she had a pretty complicated life not only because of her childhood she was very well that throughout her life she had to experience very complicated situations, I clearly concluded that she was exposed to abuse but that she was a very strong woman as she has always shown and I managed that this did not happen, for many things she told me that she had to deal not only with men but with humiliations of women also.
Mother: The conclusion that I could have with my mother is that many times we ourselves do not realize that things in relationships are bad and that by continuing with that person we allow things that no person should allow and that at least she as in many others cases I apply say "Seeing is believing"

How do/did the members cope with those difficulties (if any)?
Grandmother: I think that she has always known what she can do and in the case of her sorry for everything she has never let herself be humiliated apart though little but her parents always inculcated the value and respect that they have to give her not only for being a woman, So in her case she acted perhaps violently but always giving her place and reflecting that there must always be limits.
Mother: In the case of my mother what helped her to get out of that was the support of her family in general and also realizing that so it was alone she could get by her daughters and to give them what maybe to her for lack of opportunities could not give.
Do you consider their stories resemble your own personal experience? why?
I think if, at least at my young age and for how much I have to live I know that we all go through situations that we should not, we are harassed many times, At least it happens to me that I am harassed in the past millennium or in the street by my dress or by anything else and at least for me it is not something normal but I know that it is something that happens.
