Please discuss the resources you found for your group presentation. Why were they reliable? Why did you choose that resource over another? Lastly, please voice any questions you have about an Annotated Bibliography. by Vannah Scarborough

Susa and I found two essays from college professors, one thesis from a Standford student, and one article on a Yale University site. I am very comfortable with my sources, as they had to go through a board or editor before publishing. I chose the sources I did because I wanted an academic view on the subject. Arab-French relations is a topic with a lot of historical bases, so a research paper is an easy way to understand the big picture. The sources we chose represent a few different view points, and were well written and better sourced than some of the other options. I am satisfied with out sources, but still anxious about putting together an annotated bibliography.

I found some good sources. There was literally nothing on google scholar so I had to use just regular google. I chose sources that ended in .org or .edu. Also I read through them and compared them to make sure they were legit. I chose my sources because there was nothing on google scholar, and most of the sources I found were either prezis, Weebly's, etc. so the sources I have are the only good ones I could find. Also in regards to google scholar the only things on google scholar are pieces by Albert Camus or samples of books that he wrote. On top of that literally everything on google scholar requires you to pay for a membership or whatever. I think my sources are good though because when I compared the two they didn't have any conflicting information. Also there weren't any grammar mistakes as far as I can tell.

My resources were both online articles and books I found at the library. My first source was an article written by a professor at the University of Tennessee. I find this credible because a professor wrote it and more times than not, they are a reliable source of information. Another source was from a professor at Stanford University, a top school in the US. As for questions, I am confused on how exactly it should be set up. I understand the content just unsure about the format.

Jules and I found sources mainly based our research done by reliable professors across the US and articles/theses written my undergrads from schools such as Yale and Standford. We wanted sources that were not only reliable but stretched back far enough to have applicable to our annotated bibliography. I still feel as if i'm in the dark on how it all really works but most of it I feel like I have some sort of grasp on. I enjoyed learning more about the French-Arab relations since France was quite the powerhouse when it came to colonization.
