    • a) Deux personnes expriment la même chose dans une affirmation (= So + Auxiliaire + sujet)

    She went to Paris. So did Jane (Jane aussi)
    Peter has got a cat. So have I (moi aussi)
    I work in London. So does my mother(ma mère aussi)
    I am 15. So is he (lui aussi)

    On aurait pu aussi dire : "both of them" "both of us" (nous deux, eux deux) 
    Both of them are 15 years old.

    b) Deux personnes expriment la même chose dans une négation (= Neither + Auxiliaire + Sujet)

    He didn’t play chess. Neither did I (moi non plus)
    He hasn’t got a dog. Neither has Ann (Ann non plus)
    He doesn’t like tea. Neither do I (moi non plus)
    They aren’t French. Neither is he (lui non plus)

    On aurait pu aussi dire : "neither of them" "neither of us" (aucun d'eux, aucun de nous)

    Deux personnes expriment des choses différentes :
    a) Dans une phrase affirmative : Je reprends un sujet + Auxiliaire + négation

    She has got a motorbike. I haven’t (pas moi)
    He is English. They aren’t (pas eux)

    b) Dans une phrase négative : Je reprends un sujet + Auxiliaire

    He doesn’t live in New York. I do (moi si)  
    He didn’t go abroad. Jane did (Jane si = Jane y est allée)
    They haven’t got a car. Paul has (Paul si = Paul en a une)
    He isn’t English. She is (elle si)

    On aurait pu aussi dire : "whereas" (tandis que) They haven't got a car whereas Paul has.
