In times of crisis, the support of influential figures, including celebrities, can significantly impact the morale and well-being of affected communities. Throughout Ukraine's ongoing conflict, numerous stars from both Ukraine and around the world have demonstrated solidarity and provided assistance to those affected by the war. Here, we highlight some notable celebrities and their contributions to supporting Ukraine during these challenging times.

**Serhiy Zhadan:**

- Ukrainian writer and poet Serhiy Zhadan has used his platform to raise awareness about the conflict in Ukraine through his literary works and public appearances. The support of celebrities has played a significant role in raising awareness about the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and providing assistance to those affected by the war. Through their advocacy, fundraising efforts, and solidarity, these stars have helped shine a spotlight on Ukraine's struggle for freedom and sovereignty, inspiring hope and resilience among the Ukrainian people.

Every week since the beginning of 2014, Sergey has been collecting money in the lobby of the New Channel. Prytula has used the money to buy cars, medicines, drones, night vision devices and other military optics for military needs. Serhiy also spends part of the money he earns from his performances to help the army. In Ternopil, Serhiy runs a rehabilitation centre for war victims. Prytula also organises book collections for children, and on St Nicholas Day in December 2015, 100 copies were sent to children from the occupied Crimea.

In June, Prytula recorded a video message in Russian to "haters from Russia" and militants about the Leleka 100 UAV he had bought for the Ukrainian Armed Forces with volunteer money. In the video, he mocked the fact that the $10,000 drone was shot down by a missile from the Osa anti-aircraft missile system, which cost about $50,000. However, he stressed that this was Russian state funds, unlike the volunteer money in the case of Leleka 100. The video received considerable publicity.

As of early 2020, Serhiy has donated about UAH 40 million to the army, both his own money and donations.In addition, he runs a rehabilitation centre for war veterans in Ternopil.On the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Prytula, together with a team of volunteers, opened a volunteer headquarters in his office in Kyiv. The headquarters works as a coordination hub - a bridge between those who bring aid and those who need it. The main goal is to provide first and foremost for the territorial defence soldiers and the Armed Forces of Ukraine who are standing in positions in hot spots of Kyiv and Kyiv region, keeping the capital defended. Since the defence receives only weapons from the state, it is up to volunteers to provide the soldiers with uniforms, body armour, helmets, food and equipment.

According to Prytula, in the early days, people brought everything they had at home to the headquarters: bags of medicine, clothes and canned food, cans of preserves, mats and sleeping bags, binoculars, flashlights, etc. Owners of large and small businesses, in turn, brought large batches of food, hygiene products, military clothing and medicines.

Sean Penn asked the richest people in the world to give more money to Ukraine, and from Los Angeles, at his benefit concert, they collected over 1 million dollars for Ukraine. Penn didn’t hesitate even with his visit to Ukraine. The actor created a powerful beneficial organization to help Ukrainians - Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE). Today we are releasing a documentary about the Russian-Ukrainian war.
