First, the change was that she obtained a power that allowed her to move objects with her eyes. She was surprised that she could do something like that, but stayed calm about it. But once she told Ms. Honey, she got a little over excited about the power. The second change is that she and Ms. Honey became very close friends. When her parents suddenly had to leave for Spain, she chose to live with Ms. Honey. First she's still intelligent, because you really need to be smart to think of that "chalkboard plan". Or you also need a super power, like Matilda, but still, she had to think up that plan. Secondly, she still intelligent, because she knows and learns so many facts.
