I am strongly opposed to the enforcement of gender-roles and gender stereotypes. Since I was about six years old, I have made it a goal of mine to embrace my femininity and masculinity. Being open about this has changed the way some people view me and interact with me.

I've never been able to find a religion I could willingly attach myself to. Declaring myself an atheist has attracted some negative attention, due to negative connotations that are stapled to the term. Because of that, I've spent a considerable amount of time trying to correct those connotations and show people that atheist doesn't mean "anti-religion", it just means that I don't believe in God.

I've spent my entire life bending back and forth between regular ol' middle-class and kind-of-slightly-lower middle-class. This has affected me in ways that I'm sure many people in this class can relate to easily. Not rich enough to afford the best medical care, not poor enough to die because of it, just enough money to pay for the hospital stay with no problem and then leave with insurmountable piles of debt.

There's more to not being a social person than having a hard time making friends. People with less admirable social skills are often cornered into a certain place or field where networking isn't as much of a necessity, which can often prevent a lot of highly-skilled people from reaching the heights that they otherwise could have.
