         <description><![CDATA[<div>The ranking in society was the emperor on top, then the shogun (supreme military commander), after that are the daimyo, next came the Samurai warriors, then the peasants and artisans, and on the bottom were merchants. <br><br>The person who was actually ruling was the shogun, and the emperor was just a figurehead.</div>]]></description>
