Shrek is a scary ogre who does not believe in fairy tales, so he prefers not to read them either. He does not believe in things of love, his life seems to be perfect, he really enjoys bathing in mud and scaring the villagers. My favorite part is when he meets Donkey, from that moment his life changes completely, the talkative Donkey who is a stranger, later becomes his best friend. I also like the part where Donkey and Shrek are on their way to rescue Princess Fiona, it amuses me how the donkey never stops talking, Shrek talks to him angry, but Donkey always responds calmly. I am very struck by the comparison that Shrek makes with the onion because I believe that humans are the same, we all have layers, in the center of the onion is its heart, its dignity and its soul, and in the layers are the different values such as compassion and empathy are, that is how we humans are, whose values are discovered by removing the layers and that is precisely what Fiona did with Sheck, she got to know him little by little until she fell in love with him, Fiona had the opportunity to be human and beautiful forever but what she felt for him was greater, Fiona was completely in love with Shrek, and she knew it. But that was not the only couple that was happy, let's not forget Donkey and his dragon.
In conclusion, this movie teaches us many things, one of them is that you don't have to be perfect to be happy, it teaches us those things are not always what they seem, that nothing is impossible, he never believed in fairy tales and he ended up married to a princess, it also teaches us that there is nothing like a faithful friend, Shrek always said that he did not need friends but Donkey never left him alone, he always supported him to fight for what he wanted.
