Some sources say that the bullfights are art and tradition that we are not able to leave due to the fact that it is a show brought by the Spanish in the colonial era, which was welcomed by the “criollos” for instance, in Manizales, Sincelejo, Cali, Villavicencio and other regions in Colombia. Furthermore, it started to be an important part of different Festivals. However, the scientific studies and animal consciousness began to arrive to the society and it changed the beliefs. Some years ago we did not use to have bullfights in Bogota, for the reason that the District decided to say stop to the bullfights. On the other hand, now the Constitutional court made the decision to reincorporate this show, with the excuse that it is tradition. In addition, the Santa Maria square is a public place, so, the IDRD has to bid for the contracts, thus, we have to wait for a better decision by the Congress yet. Isn't this terrible?

Actually, we have to fight for de rights of animals. The people are sad about continuing the bullfight due to the fact that it is not a human and the community could force the government to do new laws according to the new edge. Nevertheless, we are developing new behaviours. However, the people who support this show are decreasing with the time and to my mind it is the reason why the society begins to have conscience about the feelings of the animals.
