We chose this theme as it is a very important theme in Jonas’s journey. Jonas expresses his feelings emotions in different ways frequently throughout the story. For example, when the Giver passes on his memories to Jonas, he will experience things that he never knew about and his emotions allow him to immediately learn a word for it. Jonas emotions plays a big part throughout his journey and allows him to make decisions that will change his life.
