Dusíkovo divadlo in Čáslav is one of the oldest stone theatres in the Czech Republic, named after the local composer and pianist Jan Ladislav Dusík. The building was constructed between 1867 and 1869, designed by architect František Skřivánek, and opened on February 28, 1869. Remarkably, it predates Prague’s National Theatre by over a decade.

The theatre has undergone several renovations, including a major restoration in 2021–2022, which restored its historic small stage and updated technical facilities. It now houses both a main auditorium and a cinema, serving as a cultural hub for the region. The building is a national cultural monument and a notable example of Czech theatre architecture.

Dusíkovo divadlo continues to host performances by local amateur theatre groups and remains a cherished landmark in Čáslav.
