The mission was to inspire, engage, enable, and connect the worldwide library sector in order to realise its long-term vision. The Federation makes materials and a venue for conversation and learning available to all members worldwide in order to ensure future advancements for IFLA.

= support for libraries in terms of encouragement and mutual understanding in order to create a fantastic team and organisation. Making judgments on legislation and financing also depend on it. They engage in a variety of activities to elevate the status of libraries and the larger profession. For instance, they support access to information, copyright, and sustainable development. In other instances, they develop an inclusive, right-based information society, a welcoming environment for libraries, and promotion and preservation programme for culture and history.

= The growth of libraries depends on the exchange of knowledge and concepts, the energising of professional groups, and the creation of standards and criteria. For example, they disseminate knowledge about the world's cultural legacy in all of its varied forms through library maps, global visions, and idea repositories.

The World Library and Information Congress (WLIC), which is hosted by IFLA, foster global connections and offers the general public the chance to participate in professional development and capacity building. By encouraging and accelerating the growth of library services, such programmes aim to improve library facilities.

Starting from that, IFLA has become the global voice of the library and information profession. 

The more members join, the more IFLA’s voice is able to speak to stakeholders and international bodies on behalf of libraries and librarians everywhere. In Malaysia, we have eight memberships, including Persatuan Pustakawan Malaysia.

People must submit an application through the UNESCO Scale of Assessment and the United Nations List of Least Developed Countries in order to become members. People who join IFLA will benefit from reduced prices on IFLA products and the IFLA World Library and Information Congress. 

The Regional Division registration fee is waived for all IFLA members and affiliates. The rights to nominate and vote in the IFLA election are just two examples of the perks that vary depending on the category.
Basically, the membership fee has to pay through a secure credit card link or bank transfer.

Sixty OCLC member libraries from art museums in 16 countries came together to build an art-focused research experience within WorldCat. The Art Discovery Group Catalog is an efficient, complete and user-friendly resource that is meeting the needs of art historians all over the world.

As the first ARL and the 200th library to go live with WorldShare Management Services (WMS), the University of Delaware Library and OCLC worked together as innovators and pioneers to develop the features and functionality required to meet the needs of students, faculty and staff at a larger research institution.

As the national champion of quality, SIRIM through its subsidiary company SIRIM QAS International is Malaysia’s leading testing, inspection, and certification services provider, accredited by numerous bodies including the National Accreditation Body, the Department of Standards Malaysia (STANDARDS MALAYSIA), and the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) among others. SIRIM plays an active role in local industry standards development and supports national growth in the human capital of local industries through technology and certification training programs. SIRIM also assists organizations in implementing excellent business culture by associating quality, technology, and best practices.

SIRIM is a part of the Global Research Alliance (GRA), a partnership of top organizations engaged in knowledge-intensive technology from nine nations across four continents. With more than 50000 scientists and technologists working together, the alliance is devoted to building international knowledge networks for business and industrial sectors in order to increase their competitiveness. The World Association of Industrial and Technological Groups (WAITRO), a non-governmental organization of industrial research organizations established under the auspices of the United Nations, has accepted SIRIM as a member. There are presently 160 members in 80 nations. The Malaysian Ministry of International Trade and Industry is liable for SIRIM.

The Twelfth Malaysia Plan (12MP), which was just unveiled by the Malaysian government, is the blueprint for the nation's economic recovery and transformation into a high-tech, high-income country. SIRIM is devoted to assisting the government in its efforts to boost productivity and higher-valued activities through the use and innovation of technology.

Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Sabirin Arshad, SIRIM President and Group Chief Executive said in this interview, “In 2022, we are planning the implementation of key projects targeted to advance 12MP goals. The post-pandemic landscape presents various opportunities for businesses. With our years of experience and expertise, SIRIM is the ideal partner to help the private sector enhance competitiveness and move up the global supply chain.”

Technology support for the creation of eco-industrial parks will be one of SIRIM's primary priority areas in 2022. (EIPs). The use of a circular economy model in the manufacturing sector seeks to increase productivity. The development of the E-Industrial Symbiosis (E-IS) platform, which makes use of geographic information systems (GIS), would be the main focus in 2022.
